Andrews Distributing Announces New Partnership with Armadillo Ale Works of Denton, TX

April 15, 2016, Dallas, TX – The Andrews Distributing team is excited to announce a partnership with local

craft brewery Armadillo Ale Works of Denton, Texas.

Armadillo Ale Works was founded in 2010 by Yianni Arestis and Bobby Mullins. In early 2011, the pair held a

Kickstarter campaign to fund their plan to bring craft beer to Denton. After a successful campaign, they

decided to create two all-natural, hand-crafted, Prohibition-inspired sodas to continue raising funds. In

March of 2013, Armadillo launched their first beer, Quakertown Imperial Oatmeal Stout, followed by their

Greenbelt Farmhouse Ale shortly after. The following year, the team released Brunch Money Imperial Golden

Stout and WunderMelon Watermelon Kolsch.

The Armadillo Ale Works team quickly gained a strong local following as Denton’s original craft brewery. The

brewery won their first award in 2014 when they received the prestigious Gold Medal at Great American

Beer Festival for Quakertown Stout. Today, Armadillo is preparing their new downtown Denton brewery

location, with plans for great new brands to share with local beer lovers.

Yianni Arestis, co-founder and CEO of Armadillo, said the team is looking forward to learning from Andrews

Distributing and collaborating with the team to expand the brewery’s reach and vision.

“We are looking forward to working more closely with the people from Andrews Distributing,” Arestis said.

knowledge for us to gain in the future. We were very glad to find a company that understands our visions and

Kelli Hopson, Andrews brand manager for Armadillo, said the new partnership will create exciting

opportunities to share great local beers with DFW craft beer lovers.

Bobby and Yianni,” Hopson said. “They are developing a portfolio of unique beer styles that incorporate local,

and some unexpected, ingredients. Andrews is honored to be the partner that will get Armadillo beer back

into the hands of local beer drinkers.”

Andrews will kick off the launch of Armadillo Ale Works this summer with a new draft offering, Honey Please.

A beer with deep roots, Honey Please is a blonde ale brewed with Texas wildflower honey and mesquite

beans. The addition of mesquite beans in alcohol production dates back to the early 20th century, and gives

this beer a complexity of flavors unmatched by any other. Honey Please is the first taste of a full portfolio to

come that will focus on unique innovation and flavor.
