AleSmith Adding Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout: Hammerhead Edition 2025

This morning I have another “speedy” variant coming soon from AleSmith Brewing in San Diego, CA.

This is Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout: Hammerhead Edition 2025 and it will be a 30th Anniversary imperial stout aged in Bourbon barrels with espresso and coffee. The beer will hit 13.46%-AbV and it will be packaged in these 16oz cans. Stay tuned for 2025 release details.  zzubreebym

“For our 30th Anniversary, we’re reintroducing Hammerhead Speedway Stout. Aged in Bourbon barrels and inspired by the bold Hammerhead Coffee drink – a shot of espresso added to brewed coffee – this imperial stout is brewed with a blend of crushed Ethiopian and Espresso beans for an intense coffee flavor, Bourbon barrel aging adds notes of vanilla, spice, and dried fruit for a rich, full-bodied brew.”
