Jim Patton, brewer and craft beer pioneer, sadly passed away last week at the age of 59. Jim was one of the co-founders of the Abita Brewing Company. His legacy lives on in the nation-wide success Abita has today. Jim was truly a renaissance man – he studied wine, started a chain of brewpubs and had a doctorate in cultural anthropology. Please raise your glass today to Jim Patton, one of the men who helped start the craft beer revolution in Louisiana. Cheers.
