Night Shift Announces Oktoberfest 2023 Details

THE BEER LINEUP

5 GERMAN STYLES TO CELEBRATE

Owltoberfest – German-style Helles – our clean and crushable flagship beer of Oktoberfest weekend. Brimming with notes of fresh bread, tangelo, and yellow peach. A hoot with every sip
Prost Malone – unfiltered Munich-Style Lager that sings a smooth harmony of malty richness, toasted bread, and subtle, earthy hops. Brewed with rockstar flair and chart-topping flavor
Kolsch Encounters – German-Style Kolsch that beams down a cosmic blend of crisp, light malts, and otherworldly refreshment. Hints of apple, pear, and a close encounter with deliciously fruity hops
Dunkel John’s Band -  Munich-Style Dunkel that honors a legendary band with its name and label artwork. Smooth and delicious, with notes of rye bread, toasted grain, and zesty hops
Chill Zwickelson – German-Style Zwickelbier that tees off with a fairway of bready malt flavor, subtle grassy hops, and a hint of citrus. A hole-in-one for your palate
You’ll need a vessel for all these Oktoberfest beers! Steins and boots will be available for purchase to enjoy and prost at both Everett and Lovejoy!

THE LOCATIONS

Night Shift Oktoberfest is an epic, three-day, four-location celebration of German-style beers, food, music, and more! Along with the fact that it’s FREE to attend, all the details you need to celebrate with us are here:

BEER GARDENS – FRIDAY 9/22

• 4-10PM at our Esplanade & Allston beer gardens
• First 25 people that come to either location will receive a free Oktoberfest t-shirt! (limited sizes)
• Food!! Esplanade will have Just Hummus food truck and One Mighty Mill is bringing jumbo soft pretzels to Allston

EVERETT  – SATURDAY 9/23

• 12-11PM at our Everett Taproom
• First 75 people will receive a complimentary stein!
• Enjoy food from Wild Fox Pierogis (1-6pm), Lobster Proper (12-5pm), The Sausage Guy (5-10pm) and sweets from Far Out Ice Cream (12-4pm)! 
• Music with the Hofbrau Band 1-4pm and Intergalactic Kegger 7-10pm
• As always, we are hosting a STEIN HOLDING COMPETITION! (that links to signups)

NIGHT SHIFT LOVEJOY – SUNDAY 9/24

• 12-8PM at our Lovejoy Wharf brewery & restaurant 
• First 75 people will receive a complimentary stein!
• RESERVE A TABLE (these go quickly)
• Music with the Hofbrau Band 2-5pm
• Enjoy food from our Oktoberfest special menu! 
  • Giant pretzel – everything bagel beer cheese, cranberry mustard
  • Pork Schnitzel sandwich – Heirloom tomato, pickled onions, arugula, dill aioli, on a potato roll
  • Wild Boar Bratwurst – brown butter apple mustard, pickled red cabbage, brioche roll
  • Schwartzwalder kirsch torte – chocolate tart shell, sour cherry jelly, chocolate ganache, kirsch cream

TIMING

• The Women’s Division competition will take place on our Everett patio starting at 3:00pm. Check in to the competition area by 2:45 prior to the start time.
• The Men’s Division competition will take place on our Everett patio starting at 3:30pm. Check in to the competition area by 3:15 prior to the start time.

PRIZES

• 1st Place – $50 gift card, Half-liter Boot, champion belt
• 2nd Place – $25 gift card, 2nd place medal
• 3rd Place – $10 gift card, 3rd place medal
