As wildfires continue to impact communities across Washington State, access to clean, safe drinking water becomes an essential part of disaster recovery. Anheuser-Busch is once again putting its emergency drinking water program to work, sending nearly 130,000 cans of drinking water to Washington to help residents and first responders affected by the statewide wildfires.

The emergency drinking water was shipped to King Beverage Inc., Anheuser-Busch’s wholesaler partner in Spokane, Washington. Working with the American Red Cross, King Beverage will help distribute the water to communities, residents and organizations that need additional resources during wildfire recovery efforts.

The latest donation is part of a much larger Anheuser-Busch emergency drinking water program that has been operating for decades. The brewer says its emergency water initiative, launched in 1988, has resulted in more than 100 million cans of clean drinking water being donated to U.S. communities and volunteer fire departments responding to or preparing for natural disasters.

Here is the complete announcement from Anheuser-Busch:

August 14, 2026 – St. Louis, MO – Anheuser-Busch delivered nearly 130,000 cans of emergency drinking water across Washington State to support residents and first responders in recovery efforts amid statewide wildfires.

The donation of emergency drinking water was shipped to Anheuser-Busch wholesaler partner King Beverage Inc. of Spokane, Washington, which partnered with the American Red Cross to distribute the delivery to community members and organizations in need.

“The American Red Cross is deeply grateful to Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partner King Beverage Inc. for their generous donation and delivery of safe drinking water to Washington in response to statewide wildfires,” said  Lauren Ulrich, Executive Director of Operations Management and Logistics for the American Red Cross. “We appreciate their partnership and ongoing support of our mission.”

The ~130,000 cans of water were sourced from Anheuser-Busch’s brewery in Cartersville, Georgia, which alongside the Fort Collins, Colorado brewery, periodically pauses beer production to can emergency drinking water and help communities in times of disaster.

Anheuser-Busch has a longstanding tradition of providing support for disaster relief efforts in partnership with the American Red Cross, dating back to 1906. Since the inception of the emergency drinking water program in 1988, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partners have donated more than 100 million cans of clean, safe drinking water to U.S. communities and volunteer fire departments in support of ongoing disaster relief and preparedness efforts.
