This morning I’m excited to bring you an early look at two major 2026 Black Tuesday variants coming from The Bruery in Placentia, California, a brewery known for producing some of the most sought‑after, high‑gravity, Bourbon barrel‑aged imperial stouts in the craft beer world. Every year, Black Tuesday releases generate massive anticipation, and the 2026 lineup is already shaping up to be one of the most decadent and dessert‑inspired collections yet.

For 2026, The Bruery is preparing to release Black Tuesday Cinnamon Swirl and Black Tuesday Strawberry Strudel, two bold, pastry‑driven interpretations of their iconic barrel‑aged stout.

Black Tuesday Cinnamon Swirl (2026)

This variant will be a Bourbon barrel‑aged imperial stout with cinnamon, designed to evoke the rich, warming character of a fresh cinnamon roll. At a massive 19.1% ABV, this release promises the signature Black Tuesday intensity, deep oak, rich chocolate, caramelized sugars—layered with aromatic cinnamon spice. Fans of The Bruery’s pastry‑leaning stouts will immediately recognize this as one of the standout dessert‑inspired offerings of the 2026 season.

Black Tuesday Strawberry Strudel (2026)

The second variant, Black Tuesday Strawberry Strudel, will be a Bourbon barrel‑aged imperial stout brewed with strawberries and vanilla beans, landing at 18.9% ABV. Expect lush strawberry character, creamy vanilla, and the deep, layered complexity of The Bruery’s barrel program. This one leans heavily into pastry stout territory, channeling the flavors of a warm, fruit‑filled strudel wrapped inside a massive, boozy imperial stout.

Both 2026 Black Tuesday variants will be packaged in 12.7‑oz bottles, continuing The Bruery’s signature format for their high‑gravity, limited‑release barrel‑aged offerings. As always, these releases are expected to be extremely limited and highly sought after by collectors and fans of The Bruery’s legendary Black Tuesday series.

Stay tuned for additional 2026 Black Tuesday variants, full release details, allocation information, and complete tasting notes as The Bruery continues to roll out its highly anticipated 2026 barrel‑aged lineup.

Label Text Black Tuesday Cinnamon Swirl:

“Breakfast and dessert collide in Black Tuesday: Cinnamon Swirl. This bourbon barrel‑aged imperial stout opens with aromas of cinnamon, brown sugar, and rich vanilla. Notes of cream, cinnamon streusel, and chocolate unfold across a full‑bodied palate with a long finish. Perfect alongside peppered bacon or brown butter cinnamon rolls.”

Label Text Black Tuesday Strawberry Strudel:

“Flaky pastry meets barrel‑aged indulgence. Black Tuesday: Strawberry Strudel is a bourbon barrel‑aged imperial stout with strawberries and vanilla beans added. Aromas of strawberry, vanilla, and pastry crust give way to notes of strawberries and cream with burnt brown sugar. Full‑bodied with a long, sweet finish, it’s perfect alongside brioche French toast and strawberry compote.”

The Bruery is a craft brewery located in Orange County, CA, known for innovative, inspired, taste-forward beers that push the boundaries of what beer can be. Along with two Tasting Room locations in Orange County, and a store in Washington D.C., The Bruery runs three beer premium beer clubs: The Preservation Society®, The Reserve Society®, and The Hoarders Society®. The Bruery offers direct to consumer delivery across CA, DC, PA, VA, VT, ND, OH, and NH, along with national distribution in 29 states.

To understand what makes The Bruery truly special, you first have to understand how we started: just Patrick Rue in his kitchen with a thirst for knowledge and a passion for how interesting beer can be. It was his passion and insatiable curiosity that led him to open a brewery, build a team of world-class like-minded brewers and eventually earn the title of Master Cicerone. This unique combination of unwavering creativity, unquestionable expertise, and relentless innovation, drive us to craft beers that quite frankly, might change the way you think about beer.

Taste Over Style
This really sums up our brewing philosophy. We never shoot for a specific style, instead we let taste act as our compass. We take our inspiration from the culinary world, traditional beer styles, natural ingredients, vineyards and even junk food, but wherever that journey takes us – taste is our guide.

Like Nothing You’ve Ever Tasted Before

This is our promise, and our goal. Every time you open a beer from The Bruery, we love to see the wow on your face, and the “how’d they do that?” in your eyes. Ultimately we believe this experience just makes live a little bit more interesting. Our beers spark conversations, complement meals, and bring people together. They might even change the way you think about beer.

Where The Bruers Relax
Offshoot is what The Bruers drink when they’re off the clock. Nothing better to help you Relax, Escape, Retreat, or Coast.
