Tröegs Teaming Up With Pizza Boy, Boneshire, Appalachian Brewing, Wolf Brewing, ZeroDay Cartel & Yah Brew for 2026 717 Collaboration Pilsner
Today I’m excited to bring you your first peek at the 2026 Tröegs 717 Collaboration Beer, a returning area‑code‑themed project from Tröegs Independent Brewing in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Every year, Tröegs teams up with fellow breweries across the 717 area code, and for 2026 they’re taking the concept in a bright, crisp, hop‑forward direction with an open‑fermented New Zealand‑style Pilsner.
This year’s 717 Collaboration showcases a modern, Southern Hemisphere hop profile built around Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, and Citra, a combination that promises layers of white grape, lime zest, tropical fruit, and citrus aromatics wrapped into a clean, snappy pilsner base. The decision to open‑ferment this beer adds another layer of character, allowing expressive fermentation notes to complement the vibrant New Zealand hop bouquet.
As always, the 717 project is a true regional collaboration, bringing together some of the most recognizable breweries in Central Pennsylvania. The 2026 edition includes contributions from:
- Pizza Boy Brewing
- Boneshire Brew Works
- Wolf Brewing Co.
- Appalachian Brewing Company
- ZeroDay Brewing
- Cartel Brewing & Blending
- Yah Brew
This collective approach has become a hallmark of the annual 717 release, celebrating the creativity, camaraderie, and shared brewing culture of the region.
For 2026, the beer will be packaged in 16‑oz cans, and the label continues the clean, modern look that has defined recent Tröegs collaborations. With its blend of New Zealand hops, open fermentation, and regional brewery partnerships, this is shaping up to be one of the most distinctive and hop‑expressive 717 releases yet.
Stay tuned for full release details, tasting notes, ABV confirmation, and distribution info as Tröegs prepares to roll out this latest entry in the 717 Collaboration Series.

We’re a bunch of family, friends and kindred spirits who share a love of great beer. Together, we make Tröegs.
Founded in Pennsylvania in 1997 by brothers John and Chris Trogner, Tröegs is driven by a sense of adventure and curiosity.
You might know our Perpetual IPA, the best-selling IPA in Pennsylvania. Or the dark, malty and crisp Tröegenator. Maybe you’ve tried one of the hundreds of experimental Scratch Series beers we’ve brewed. Or taken the “Best Brewery Tour in America” here at our Hershey home.
Whether you’re already a member of our extended family or you’re just getting to know Tröegs, there’s always something new to discover. Crack a Perpetual and stay awhile.
Family-owned. Independently crafted.
In the past 25 years, Tröegs has grown from two brothers to 250 people, but we’re still very much a family business. Because we stay true to our core values of independence and family ownership, we’ve kept the small-brewery DNA we all hold dear.
Perpetual exploration
Our small-batch Scratch Series and 3-barrel Scratch Lab are where we do the work needed to understand the “why” at the intersection of ingredients, technique and flavor.
Local ingredients
We live and brew in fertile central PA, and we’re proud to support our local farmers. Every year, we buy more than 225,000 pounds of local grain, honey and fruit to use in our beer.
Community
From bike rides that fund local trails to new beers that help preserve critical forests, our partnerships improve the places where we live, work and play.
