The team at Kooper’s Whiskey is rolling out another standout American bourbon release with Kooper’s Whiskey Sweetheart of the Rodeo Bourbon, bottled at a confident 45% ABV and offered in classic 750ml bottles. This small‑batch bourbon continues Kooper’s tradition of crafting expressive, character‑driven whiskeys that highlight rich grain profiles, thoughtful barrel aging, and a bold yet approachable flavor experience.

Sweetheart of the Rodeo Bourbon is positioned as a premium American bourbon whiskey designed for collectors, enthusiasts, and everyday bourbon drinkers seeking a smooth, balanced pour with depth and personality. With its warm oak backbone, caramel‑forward sweetness, subtle spice, and signature Kooper’s Whiskey craftsmanship, this release aims to stand out in the crowded craft bourbon and small‑batch whiskey landscape.

As Kooper’s continues expanding its lineup of Texas‑made bourbon, limited‑release whiskey, and high‑quality American spirits, Sweetheart of the Rodeo Bourbon is shaping up to be a highlight for fans looking for a flavorful, well‑rounded bottle. Expect more details on tasting notes, release timing, and distribution as this 45% ABV bourbon moves closer to shelves.

About Koopers Whiskey:

Koopers Whiskey Company (originally Kooper Family Whiskey Co.) is a family-owned boutique whiskey blender based in Ledbetter, Texas. Founded in 2012 by husband-and-wife duo Troy and Michelle Kooper, the company is known for its “blending house” approach—sourcing high-quality raw distillates and transforming them through aging and finishing in the intense Texas climate.

Core Philosophy and Process

  • Blending vs. Distilling: Unlike traditional distilleries, Koopers focuses on the art of maturation and blending. They source whiskeys from partners in states like Indiana (MGP), Kentucky, and Tennessee.
  • Texas Aging: All spirits are aged, finished, and bottled in Fayette County, Texas. The high humidity and extreme temperature swings of Central Texas are central to their process, accelerating the interaction between the whiskey and the oak to create a more mature flavor profile than the age statement might suggest.
  • Heritage Design: Many labels feature Troy’s grandfather, Howard Pardekooper, a 1944 U.S. Armed Forces Heavyweight Boxing Champion, symbolizing the brand’s “fighting spirit” and dedication to craft.
