About Olde St. Nick Distilling:

Olde St. Nick Distilling, primarily known for the Very Olde St. Nick (VOSN) brand, is a cult-status whiskey producer currently operating out of Preservation Distillery + Farm in Bardstown, Kentucky. Founded in 1986 by Marci Palatella, the brand built its reputation by sourcing and bottling rare, long-aged bourbon and rye whiskies, originally almost exclusively for the Japanese export market.

History and Origins\
The brand’s history is steeped in “whiskey lore” due to its early associations with legendary Kentucky figures.
Early Bottling: In the 1980s, Marci Palatella collaborated with Julian Van Winkle III, who bottled the first releases at the Old Commonwealth facility in Lawrenceburg, KY.
Transition to Willett: When Van Winkle’s older stocks ran low, production moved to the Willett Distillery (Kentucky Bourbon Distillers) under Even Kulsveen, where much of the whiskey was sourced from Heaven Hill.
Modern Era: In 2018, Palatella’s company, Allied Lomar, opened Preservation Distillery, providing the brand with its own physical home for the first time.  

Production and Distilling
