Today, I have the latest packaging for a returning beer from Pipeworks Brewing in Chicago, Illinois. This is Devil Firefish, and it will remain an imperial IPA with apricot as well as Amarillo, Cryo Simcoe, Cryo Citra, and Cryo Mosaic hops. The beer will swim in at 9.5%-ABV and look for Pipeworks brewing Devil Firefish to be packaged in 16-oz cans (Label art by Beejay Olson). Stay tuned for full release details.

Pipeworks Brewing Co. is a renowned craft brewery based in Chicago, Illinois, celebrated for its innovative beers and distinctive artwork. Founded in 2012 by homebrewers Beejay Oslon and Gerrit Lewis, the brewery quickly gained recognition for its commitment to quality and creativity. Initially, Pipeworks distinguished itself by releasing a new, unique beer every week, catering to the niche market of beer connoisseurs. This approach garnered a cult following and earned the brewery the title of “Best New Brewery in the World” by RateBeer in 2013 .

In 2015, Pipeworks expanded to a larger facility at 3912 W. McLean Ave in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood, allowing for increased production and the introduction of core beers in 16-ounce cans. The brewery self-distributes in Illinois, Milwaukee, and Madison, and partners with distributors in various states, including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut .

Known for its vibrant and imaginative beer labels, Pipeworks collaborates with artists like Jeff Kuhnie to create visually striking designs that complement the bold flavors of their beers . The brewery has also teamed up with notable partners, including Interboro Spirits & Ales and hip hop duo Run The Jewels, to produce special edition brews like the “Stay Gold” IPA
