Uncharted Alaska Distillery is an artisan spirit maker located in Ketchikan, Alaska, housed in the city’s historic 1936 fire station. Founded by three former public safety officers, the distillery creates high-quality spirits inspired by Alaska’s wilderness.

Location and atmosphere

Historic fire station: The distillery is situated in the former downtown Ketchikan fire station at 319 Main Street. This unique venue features original fire department relics, which were donated by local families, and a fire station theme.

Welcoming space: The location offers a warm, inviting atmosphere with both indoor seating and an open-air deck. It is a popular spot for both local residents and tourists from the cruise ships that visit the port.

Unique tours: Visitors can sign up for a guided tour and infusion class. The experience includes a history of the building, tastings of the house spirits, and a hands-on class where guests can blend their own botanical-infused spirit.

Uncharted Alaska crafts a variety of spirits, with a focus on local flavors and inventive recipes. Their product line includes:

Vodka: Offerings include a unique Holdfast Kelp Vodka, which is infused with locally foraged kelp for a distinctive briny flavor.
