Bell’s Brewery Updating Hopslam Packaging

Today I have the latest packaging tweaks for one of my favorites from Bell’s Brewery in Comstock, Michigan. This is the 2025/2026 packaging for Hopslam Ale and while the beer will remain at 10%-AbV, look for Bell’s Hopslam to be packaged in these updated 16oz cans that now feature “brewed with honey” prominently displayed at the top of each can. Brewery locations:
Kalamazoo
The original location, where the first batch of beer was brewed in 1985. The Kalamazoo location has a brewpub and store.
Comstock

The main brewery, located seven miles east of Kalamazoo.
Philosophy: Reducing environmental impact, Supporting small business owners, Amplifying underrepresented voices, and Celebrating differences.

Sustainability:
Pretreating wastewater before returning it to the city
Converting wastewater into renewable electricity and heat
Supporting clean water nonprofits
