Fat Heads Owner Matt Cole Heading To The UK To Co-Brew With Batemans

Cole will be one of 10 brewers from the United States — and only the second return brewer – heading to England for the collaboration, he said. The program allows English breweries to open their doors – and their brewhouses – for American brewers to craft an agreed-upon style.

Cole will be making his Sunshine Daydream at Batemans in Wainfleet, Lincolnshire, located more than 100 miles north of London near the North Sea.

“We’re basically brewing more of a session IPA,” Cole said. “I was invited back. They liked the beer I brewed last time.” In 2011, Cole brewed Yakima Sun, a hoppy English summer ale.
