Yards Announces Early Release of Pynk

Philadelphia, PA Yards Brewing Company is tickled pink to announce the earlier release of PYNK: a tart berry ale, which first hit taps and shelves July 2015  and will be available through October 2015.

Yards Brewing Company’s PYNK production for this season has increased from 600 barrels to a full 1,000 in anticipation of the early release;  Yards’ increased production and extended PYNK season is a response to popular demand and the brew’s versatility from summer ale to fall seasonal. PYNK was first brewed as a draught-only limited release in the early 2000s, but has increased in popularity and has been released as both a packaged and draught seasonal for the past three years.

Notably, the early release gives PYNK fans the opportunity to enjoy the light-bodied brew throughout the summer and gives Yards an extra 31 days to raise funds for their breast cancer charity partner, The Tyanna Foundation. Yards proudly donates $1.00 from every case sold and $0.05 from every pint sold. In 2013, Yards raised $5,000.00 with PYNK and more than doubled that amount in 2014 with a check for $13,000.00. Yards’ efforts were bolstered significantly with contributions from Bond Distributors, Shake Shack, Alla Spina, Two Stones Pub, and Padonia Ale House. Yards is proud to partner with the Tyanna Foundation for another year of fundraising efforts. Improving the lives of breast cancer patients is at the heart of The Tyanna Foundation which honors a mother’s life, love and living legacy. Hosting a variety of events and fundraising efforts throughout the nation, The Tyanna Foundation has raised over $1,000,000 since its inception in 1999.  The Foundation has worked tirelessly increasing awareness and generating money for breast cancer research, services, education, treatment and patient care. 90% of all funds raised in each state stay in that state to support local breast cancer efforts. The remaining 10% stays in the Foundation and will one day be used for initiatives such as endowments, scholarships and research.

PYNK (5.5% ABV) is an effervescent, tart berry ale that’s pleasantly pink in color. Brewed with more than 3,000 pounds of sour and sweet cherries and raspberries in each batch, this light-bodied ale delights the palate and finishes refreshingly dry. PYNK can be found in 12-ounce bottles and on draught throughout the Mid-Atlantic region wherever Yards ales are served or sold.
