(ORANGE COUNTY, CA) – Today, the first beers of 2017 from The Bruery® and Bruery Terreux® were released to Hoarders Society, Reserve Society and Preservation Society members. It’s the first round of allocations to 2017 members, including Society exclusive beers and brands that will see national release.

Additional information about all eight newly released beers is available below. See if these beers are coming to a Society – or market – near and dear to you.

Bruery Terreux Room for More™

This limited release barrel-aged sour ale features over 2,300 lbs. of stonefruit from our friends at Masumoto Family Farm. After hand-cutting the juicy, ripe fruit with care at Bruery Terreux, we split a portion of our oak-aged sour blonde ale into two components: one to age a combination of three varietals of peaches (Flavorcrest, Spring Lady and Suncrest); the other to age a combination of four varietals of nectarines (Le Grand, Rose Diamond, Spring Bright and Summer Grand). After both components aged with the fruit and underwent a secondary fermentation from the additions, we blended them back together to achieve the ideal tangy flavor (and a satisfying, fuzzy feeling). Grab a glass and pull up a chair – we present to you Room for More.

5.7% ABV, Hoarders Society Exclusive

The Bruery Mélange No. 5™

It’s dirty business, rubbing shoulders with our friends in the BBQ business. But we’re rolling up our sleeves and revisiting a favorite our friend’s third anniversary weekend – this time to commemorate their tenth anniversary. Using malt smoked on their house smoker, we brewed a smoked beer and blended it with our bourbon barrel-aged wheatwine-style ale and anniversary ale. The result is a woody, smoky blend you’ll want to sink your teeth into.

15% ABV, Hoarders Society Release

—

The Bruery Mash & French Toast™

This is our classic bourbon barrel-aged barleywine ale, Mash™, joining forces with even stickier, malt-forward forces from our barrel warehouse to create the gooey-sweet profile you’d expect from a french toast-like creation from The Bruery. If the allure of rich, caramelized notes or maple character don’t rouse you out of bed, the wafts from our brewer’s kitchen will, summoning you with nutmeg and cinnamon spices and warm vanilla character. It’s time to roll up your sleeves and Mash & French Toast. No utensils required.

13.4% ABV, Reserve Society Exclusive

—

Bruery Terreux Befuddlement® (2017)

It’s rather ridiculous the melding of flavors that can be achieved by folding an incredible amount of boysenberries into a blend of our barrel-aged sour rye ale and bourbon barrel-aged anniversary ale. But Befuddlement does just that. This recreation of one of our favorite blends – a Hoarders Society exclusive release in 2014 – is a baffling, rich and balanced creation that showcases rich dark fruit, subtle funk, zesty jam, prominent oak and ribbons of caramel and toffee.

9.9% ABV, Reserve Society Exclusive

—

The Bruery Chronology:6™ – Imperial Porter

We’ve replaced the wheels of time with barrel heads. They don’t turn, yet they embrace the evolution of beer and time on a level that can’t be rivaled. For this Chronology Series™, we brewed an imperial porter and set it to age in bourbon barrels. Every six months, we’ll take a quarter of the barrels, blend them and bottle them. This first bottling represents the nuances imparted to the base beer after six months of barrel-aging.

12.7% ABV, Society Release

—

The Bruery The Order™

Monastic breweries wrote the book on complex ales that weave notes of dark fruits, spices, caramelized character and warmth into each sip. The Order summons that tradition and adds local inspiration. Our darkening, Belgian-inspired abbey ale features dark-fruited character from dates, Belgian-style sugars and subtle spicing from coriander, which compliments the Belgian yeast esters.

10.6% ABV,

—

The Bruery Or Xata® (2017)

Horchata is a traditional, sweet, milky drink originating in Spain and Latin America that has become quite popular in Southern California, particularly with Mexican cuisine. Our take on the traditionally non-alcoholic drink is a blonde ale brewed with a heavy dosing of rice, cinnamon and fresh vanilla beans along with lactose for a little extra creamy character. If you didn’t know better, you’d think it was carbonated horchata. The flavor is hard to describe, but for those who know it, you know you love it.

7.1% ABV
