Oskar Blues Java Barrel-Aged Ten Fidy & Barrel-Aged Ten Fidy Return 11/11Exciting Ten Fidy news coming from Oskar Blues:

Java Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY and Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY are back for your face holes. Here’s everything you need to know about this limited release at our Colorado and North Carolina taprooms.

WHO: That’s us…Oskar Blues Brewery in Longmont, Colorado and Brevard, North Carolina. And you. You’ll be there too.

WHERE: THE OAK ROOM at Oskar Blues Brewery in Longmont, CO (entrance is on the Northwest side of the brewery)

WHAT: Oskar Blues Brewery took its Ten FIDY Imperial Stout and stashed it in a blend of Buffalo Trace and Heaven Hill bourbon barrels for a minimum of eight months. The result is a cool and drinkable concoction that gets more complex with each sip. Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY clocks in at 12.9% ABV. Just to sweeten the pot, for the third year, we’re dropping a TAPROOM ONLY Java Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY (12.9%). Aged just like BA Ten FIDY, but mixed with Hotbox Roasters cold brew made with a blend of Mexican and Brazilian beans. Java BA FIDY will ONLY be available from our CO and NC taprooms this one, single day.

WHEN: November 11th. Sales will begin at 10am – though we have a feeling that a line might begin to form earlier, so we’ll start giving out numbered wristbands at 9:30am. These wristbands will allow you to walk around and not worry about losing your place in line. We know what you’re thinking: THAT EARLY ON A SATURDAY? I’LL BE HURTIN! We get it. Us too. To ease the pain of the wee hours we’ll have CyclHOPS Bike Cantina slingin’ breakfast burritos. Did we mention there’d be coffee? Hotbox Roasters will be on scene, and that stuff’ll flat wake. you. up.

WHY: Because FIDY deserves you and you deserve FIDY.

Now for the specifics + FAQ’s:

Does this number on my wristband really matter? Hell yes! We will go in order so please be available when your number is called so we can keep things rolling and we don’t miss ya! You must be present to get yer beer.

Is there a limit to how much of each 19.2 CAN I can buy? Yes. Each person may purchase 10 cases of B.A. FIDY and 2 cases of Java B.A. FIDY. Chances are that we will run out of cans of the Java B.A. FIDY early in the afternoon. If we have cans left at 4 p.m. (both MST and EST) then a “No Limit” rule kicks in and you will be able to purchase more. Don’t bet on this…but if it happens, now you know.

Why only a limited amount? To make sure more people get a chance to taste this rare liquid. Spread it around, ya know?

Will either of the two limited edition beers be on draft? Yep, we’ll have a limited amount of draft versions of each of the beers available at the taproom for sampling as well.

How much does the beer cost?

4 oz pour on DRAFT = $4
10 oz pour on DRAFT = $10
One CAN of either Java BA Ten FIDY or BA Ten FIDY = $12.50
One CASE (12 CANs) = $150

Can I fill a Crowler or a growler? Nah, sorry!

Even with, like, Dale’s? Nope. Due to the expected crowds and everyone’s anticipated desire to have everything run as smooth as a porpoise, we’re going to be putting away our Crowler machine for the day.

What if I can’t be there on Saturday but still want to try some of the beer? BA Ten FIDY will be nationally distributed to ask your local bottle shop or craft beer store to get some. Java BA FIDY will only be available on this one day. We MIGHT still have some on DRAFT on Sunday…it’s hard to say. Call your local Tasty Weasel taproom and ask one of the beertenders…they’ll let ya know. (their extension is 316 when you call the brewery)

How can I pay for this? Cash (USD) or credit/debit card. No checks, please.

Come early, hang out, drink beer!

BONUS: We’ll be hosting a special tapping of both BA Ten Fidy and Java BA Fidy at our new Oskar Blues Boulder Taproom on Thursday, November 9th. Beginning at 6:30pm, these special brews will be flowing so you can wet your whistle before the big release on November 11th. There will only be a limited amount available, so get there early – it runs out when it runs out. No Crowler filling of either BA Ten Fidy or Java BA Ten Fidy for this event – they will only be available on draught for your on-site enjoyment.

Here’s the full PR from Oskar Blues:

LONGMONT, CO ., and BREVARD, NC  – Nov. 1, 2017 – We’re bringing Barrel-Aged back. The highly anticipated Oskar Blues Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY is set for national release this month with tapping parties in North Carolina and Colorado scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 11. America’s first 19.2oz. can pioneer, Oskar Blues Brewery is also releasing a Java Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY available in taprooms ONLY on Nov. 11 on draft and to go in 19.2oz. stovepipe cans.

Oskar Blues Brewery took its Ten FIDY Imperial Stout and stashed it in a blend of Buffalo Trace and Heaven Hill bourbon barrels for a minimum of eight months. The result is a cool and drinkable concoction that gets more complex with each sip. Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY clocks in at 12.9% ABV and will be available on draft and in 19.2oz. stovepipe cans in limited amounts.

"Aged through four seasons and from a blend of the top bourbons around, this Ten FIDY has morphed into a monster of cranked up flavor," said Head of Brewing Operations Tim Matthews. "This stout is loaded with inimitable flavors consisting of espresso, burnt sugar, rich chocolate and caramel notes, which are combined with the vanilla, oak and bourbon flavors that have been smoothed out from maturation."

Just to up the ante, for the third year, Oskar Blues is dropping a taproom ONLY Java Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY (12.9% ABV). Aged just like the Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY, the Java-infused beer is mixed with Hotbox Roasters cold brew made with a blend of Mexican and Brazilian beans.

Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY will be nationally distributed, so those interested in enjoying it outside of Colorado or North Carolina can ask their local CAN shop or craft beer store to get some and/or search Oskar Blues Beer Finder atwww.oskarblues.com/beerfinder.

Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY and (One Day Only) Java Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY Tapping Events on Saturday, Nov. 11

The limited release events will be held at the Oak Room in Longmont, CO (entrance is on the Northwest side of the brewery) and the Tasty Weasel Taproom in Brevard, NC. Sales will begin at 10am and numbered wristbands will be handed out at 9:30am so get in line early.

To ease the pain of the wee hours, the Oskar Blues CHUBwagon will be slingin’ breakfast food in Brevard and CyclHOPS Bike Cantina will be bringin’ breakfast burritos to the party in Longmont. Plus Hotbox Roasters will be on the scene with the caffeine.

Tasty Weasel Brevard, NC Details and RSVP

Oak Room Longmont, CO Details and RSVP

We want to share the love of this rare liquid, so we’ll have limited amounts of drafts available for sampling and cans available for purchase (10 cases of BA FIDY and 2 cases of Java BA FIDY per person limit). Crowlers and growlers will not be available for purchase during the tapping events.

Bonus Tapping at Oskar Blues Boulder Taproom on Thursday, Nov. 9

A special, very limited tapping of both the Barrel-Aged Ten FIDY and Java Ten FIDY will be flowing at the new Oskar Blues Boulder Taproom beginning at 6:30pm. Get there early because when it runs out, it’s out.

OH! Before we forget…. Let’s get ready to RUM-ble!

Stay tuned for more info on the one day only Rum Barrel-Aged Death By Coconut taproom drop in Brevard, Boulder and Longmont in Mid-December.
