Firestone Walker Barrelworks & The Wild Beer Co Collaborate On Violet Underground

Find this first on mybeerbuzz.com:  Today we have a new collaboration beer coming from Firestone Walker Barrelworks in Buellton, CA.  This is Violet Underground and it will be a collaboration with the United Kingdom’s Wild Beer Co.  The beer will be a cross-Atlantic wild ale aged in Wine barrels with raspberries and candied violet petals.  The beer uses a proprietary yeast called Somerset Wild and the basis for the beer is Bretta Weisse.  Look for Violet Underground to hit 5.6%-AbV and it will be released in a limited batch of 2222 cases of 375ml bottles.  Stay tuned for full release details.
