Lone Tree Brewing Vanilla Caramel Amber

Lone Tree Brewing Vanilla Caramel Amber is back for its tenth year, and there is something to be said for a seasonal beer that keeps finding its way onto people’s fall drinking lists without needing to reinvent itself every time the weather changes. First brewed in 2016, this Colorado amber ale has become one of Lone Tree Brewing Company’s recognizable seasonal releases, built around vanilla beans, caramel malt, toffee flavor and enough hop character to keep all that malt sweetness from taking over. Ten years is a pretty good run. And for a beer that sits right in the middle of the transition from warm afternoons to cooler evenings, the timing still makes sense.

There is a reason amber ales can work so well in autumn, even with all the attention that goes to pumpkin beer, Oktoberfest lagers and the heavier stouts that begin showing up as temperatures drop. A well-made amber ale offers malt character without necessarily becoming a big, heavy beer, and Lone Tree Brewing Vanilla Caramel Amber seems designed to hit that middle ground. The vanilla and caramel notes give it a richer flavor profile, while the hops provide some balance instead of letting the beer drink like a sweet malt beverage. No extra sugars are added, either, which is worth noting when vanilla and caramel are doing so much of the work in the flavor profile.

This is a familiar release, but familiarity is not a bad thing. Lone Tree Brewing first introduced Vanilla Caramel Amber on draft in 2016 before bringing it to cans in 2019, giving Colorado beer drinkers another way to bring home a seasonal favorite. At 6% ABV, it has enough strength to feel substantial without pushing into the territory of a high-alcohol winter warmer, and that drinkability is part of what makes the beer suitable for an extended fall season rather than just a single chilly weekend. The brewery is bringing it back to both of its taprooms, with draft pours and canned six-packs available, while Elite Brands handles distribution across Colorado.

Ten years in, the beer has a track record. That does not mean every drinker will reach for an amber ale first, particularly in a market where hazy IPAs, heavily fruited beers and non-alcoholic options continue to compete for attention, but it does give Lone Tree Brewing a seasonal release with a clear identity and a history that stretches back to the brewery’s earlier days. For Colorado drinkers looking for vanilla, caramel malt, toffee and balanced hops in one autumn beer, Vanilla Caramel Amber is back where it belongs. Here is the official announcement from Lone Tree Brewing Company, including details on the tenth-anniversary return, taproom availability and canned six-packs.

COLORADO— Lone Tree Brewing Vanilla Caramel Amber, one of the brewery’s most popular seasonal offerings, makes its return for year ten.

Lone Tree Brewing first tapped this famed autumnal beer in 2016 and the beer made its debut in cans in 2019. Brewed with vanilla beans and caramel malt (and no other added sugars), Vanilla Caramel Amber gets a generous addition of hops that balance its rich malt and toffee flavors.

“Ten years later, Vanilla Caramel Amber is still one of our most talked about seasonal beers,” says Co-Owner and Director of Brewhouse Operations Jerry Siote. “It’s a great beer for the transition of seasons— 6% ABV and full of flavor, yet still incredibly drinkable.”

Vanilla Caramel Amber is now tapped at both Lone Tree taprooms, where it will also be available in canned 12 oz. 6-packs. Look for it on draft and in cans across Colorado, distributed by Elite Brands.

ABOUT LONE TREE BREWING CO.

Lone Tree Brewing Company was the first brewery to open in Lone Tree, Colorado in Denver’s South Metro area in 2011, and has remained a local staple for more than a decade. Now deeply rooted in this community, the brewing company is growing friends at its two tasting rooms– the original location near Park Meadows Mall in Lone Tree, and the recently opened Lone Tree Brewing Parker in the heart of Parker, Colorado. Find Lone Tree’s stylistically diverse lineup of canned beers in cans and on draft in Colorado and Kansas to enjoy with your buds. Visit the brewery online at lonetreebrewingco.com.

Lone Tree Brewing Company is an independent Colorado craft brewery founded in 2011 in Lone Tree, Colorado, in the Denver South Metro area. As the first brewery to open in Lone Tree, the company established an early place in the region’s growing craft beer community and has spent more than a decade developing a diverse lineup of approachable, flavor-focused beers for Colorado drinkers. From traditional lagers and malt-forward ales to hop-driven IPAs and returning seasonal releases, Lone Tree Brewing Company has built its identity around variety, consistency and a strong connection to its local community.

The brewery’s roots in Lone Tree remain an important part of its identity. Its original tasting room near Park Meadows Mall serves as a gathering place for residents and visitors looking to enjoy fresh craft beer close to home. The company has also expanded its presence with Lone Tree Brewing Parker, giving beer drinkers another location to experience its beers in the heart of Parker, Colorado. Together, the two tasting rooms support the brewery’s role as a local destination for craft beer, community gatherings and seasonal releases.

Lone Tree Brewing Company’s beer portfolio covers a broad range of styles, giving drinkers options throughout the year. Its lineup includes Mexican Lager, IPA, Blueberry Blonde Ale, Red Ale and Double IPA, alongside rotating seasonal beers and specialty releases. That variety allows the brewery to appeal to drinkers who prefer crisp, refreshing lagers as well as those looking for stronger hop character, fruit-forward flavors or richer malt profiles. The brewery’s seasonal program also gives returning favorites an opportunity to reconnect with longtime customers while introducing new drinkers to its beers.

Vanilla Caramel Amber is one example of Lone Tree Brewing’s approach to seasonal brewing. First tapped in 2016 and introduced in cans in 2019, the amber ale combines vanilla beans and caramel malt with toffee-like flavors and a generous addition of hops. At 6% ABV, the beer offers a fuller malt character while maintaining the drinkability that makes it suitable for autumn. Its annual return demonstrates how a recognizable seasonal beer can become part of a brewery’s identity without requiring a completely new concept every year.

Other seasonal offerings help keep the lineup moving as Colorado’s weather and beer-drinking habits change. Oktoberfest and Helles releases bring traditional lager styles into the autumn calendar, while Hop Zombie releases provide a different experience for fans of bold, hop-forward beers. These recurring releases give customers reasons to revisit the taprooms throughout the year and allow Lone Tree Brewing to serve different preferences without losing the familiar beers that helped establish its reputation.

Distribution has also become an important part of the brewery’s growth. In 2026, Lone Tree Brewing announced a distribution partnership with Elite Brands, expanding the availability of its beers across Colorado. Its packaged beers can be found in cans at retailers and on draft at participating locations, depending on the release and local availability. The brewery’s distribution footprint has also included Kansas, helping its beers reach customers beyond its home state.

Recognition for the brewery includes competition success for its Mexican Lager, which earned a bronze medal at the 2026 World Beer Cup. That achievement added to the beer’s established record and highlighted the brewery’s ability to produce a successful flagship lager alongside its broader selection of styles.

Lone Tree Brewing Company continues to operate with a focus on independent brewing, local connections and a varied portfolio that balances year-round beers with limited seasonal releases. Its two Colorado tasting rooms, expanding distribution and returning favorites such as Vanilla Caramel Amber help connect the brewery’s history with its ongoing work. For Colorado craft beer drinkers, Lone Tree Brewing offers a range of beers suited to different seasons and occasions, with a local identity that remains central to the company.
