ATLANTA, Georgia (April 1, 2026) – Ponce City Market announces Three Taverns Craft Brewery is set to open Three Taverns Ponce Brew Terminal, a new brewery, distillery, and kitchen with food from DAS BBQ, on Saturday, April 4. Located alongside the Beltline’s Eastside Trail, the brewery’s new outpost is on the ground floor of Signal House, the sophisticated residential community at Ponce City Market.
Founded in 2013 by President & CEO Brian Purcell, who initially got his start in beer-making through home brewing, Three Taverns is an award-winning craft brewery that produces a diverse lineup of beer styles and flavors, including classic lagers, multiple IPA styles – like its flagship A Night On Ponce IPA and “Ponce” variants – unique sours, and big flavorful stouts. Ponce Brew Terminal will welcome guests to enjoy the brewery’s complete lineup of beers, craft cocktails created by acclaimed Atlanta bartender and Director of Hospitality Jess White, and a full kitchen with food from DAS BBQ. Check out the food and drink menus here.
Three Taverns worked with local architecture and interior design firm Gentle Works to craft the space, which features garage doors opening to a large outdoor patio overlooking the Beltline. Principals Holden Spaht and Emily Wirt drew from the color and materiality of the iconic packaging of Three Taverns’ popular A Night on Ponce American IPA, the metallic gleam of brewery equipment, and the legacy of the rail corridor – recomposing these references into an interior that feels rooted in both the product and the place. The design also looks back to the location’s rich past, beyond when the building was a Sears, Roebuck, & Co. store and distribution center, to the nineteenth century, when it was home to Ponce de Leon Springs. During that period, the area surrounding Ponce City Market was an attraction with walking trails, a four-acre lake, picnic grounds, and eventually, an amusement park.
Three Taverns Ponce Brew Terminal marks the brewery’s third location, with the original in Decatur, Georgia. The second location is called The Imaginarium and opened in Atlanta’s Reynoldstown neighborhood in 2020 with a focus on more experimental offerings. In addition to serving beer at each brewery, Three Taverns’ beers are available at restaurants and stores throughout the state of Georgia.
Over the years, Three Taverns has participated in some of the country’s most prestigious beer festivals and garnered numerous awards for both their taprooms and wide variety of beers. Three Taverns was named Best Brewery in Atlanta Magazine’s 2025 “Best Of” Awards and Best Georgia Beer in their 2024 edition. The team has also been recognized for their diverse beer styles with 10 gold, nine silver, and seven bronze awards from Untappd, a bronze award for their cask ales at the 2017 and 2023 ATL Cask Ale Fest, a 2023 gold award for their 11th Anniversary Barleywine, and 2017 and 2019 People’s Choice Awards for their barrel-aged imperial stouts at the Strong Beer Festival. In its inaugural year, A Night On Ponce was voted best new IPA by the public, and Three Taverns’ taprooms have won numerous local and international design awards from organizations such as Hospitality Design Magazine, American Society of Interior Designers, and more.
