From Short’s:
As a tribute to Simcoe hops, this beer’s unique hop aroma, flavor, and overall intensity has been known to get people talking. ControversiALE is hopped like an IPA and drinks like a Pale Ale. With these characteristics, there is no disputing its well deserved popularity! The fans have voiced their opinions and the verdict is in; ControversiALE is back in bottles and will be distributed across Michigan beginning today (1/31) through the end of April!
ControversiALE (6% ABV, 65 IBU) has a earthy, citrus and pine-laced aroma. A large amount of toasted grains and high alpha hops form a perfect union that creates the sensation of toasted sourdough covered with grapefruit hop marmalade. The light, refreshing qualities of this beer make it the perfect beer for the welcoming of spring.
