Shiner Adding Dually Double IPA & Dandelion Honey Kolsch
Today I’m excited to bring you an early look at two brand‑new 2026 beers coming from Shiner / Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas, one of the most historic and beloved breweries in the American craft beer landscape. Shiner continues to expand its creative lineup with bold new styles, modern flavor profiles, and limited‑release offerings that push the brewery into fresh territory while still honoring its Texas roots.
The first new release is Dually, a double dry‑hopped double IPA that promises to deliver a massive hop punch and a big, modern craft‑beer aroma profile. Dually will clock in at a bold 9% ABV, placing it firmly in the high‑gravity, hop‑forward category that IPA fans crave. With its double dry‑hopping and double IPA structure, Dually is positioned to be one of Shiner’s most intensely aromatic and flavor‑packed IPAs to date. This 2026 release will be packaged in 12‑oz cans, making it accessible, shareable, and perfect for fans of big, juicy, resinous, or citrus‑forward hop character.
Joining Dually is a completely different but equally intriguing 2026 release: Dandelion Honey Kölsch. This beer will be a Kölsch‑style ale brewed with dandelion, honey, and natural flavors, offering a lighter, floral, subtly sweet, and refreshing profile. At 4.5% ABV, this Kölsch‑style beer is designed to be crisp, sessionable, and perfect for warm‑weather drinking. The addition of honey and dandelion gives it a unique twist that sets it apart from traditional Kölsch offerings, adding a soft botanical note and a gentle sweetness that should appeal to fans of lighter craft beer styles. Dandelion Honey Kölsch will be packaged in 12‑oz bottles, continuing Shiner’s tradition of offering its specialty releases in classic bottle formats.
Together, Dually and Dandelion Honey Kölsch showcase the wide range of Shiner’s 2026 brewing program, from bold, hop‑driven double IPAs to delicate, floral, honey‑accented Kölsch‑style ales. These releases highlight Spoetzl Brewery’s ongoing commitment to innovation, variety, and flavor exploration while still delivering the drinkability and craftsmanship that Shiner fans expect.
As always, official release details, distribution timing, and full tasting notes will follow as Shiner continues to roll out its 2026 lineup. But for now, consider this your first official preview of two exciting new beers that will help define Shiner’s presence in the 2026 craft beer market.
