The 100% Maryland-made whiskey is 7-Years-Old and 123 Proof

BALTIMORE, April 22, 2025  Sagamore Spirit, the leading and award-winning Maryland rye distillery, is proud to announce the release of a new batch of their award winning Cask Strength Rye Whiskey. This 100% Maryland-made cask strength rye whiskey is 7-Years-Old and has an ABV of 61.5%. This whiskey contains notes of rich dark chocolate and black cherries with freshly cracked black pepper give way to smooth caramel and honey. A long and complex finish reveals leathery oak tannins and a gentle, lasting warmth.

Creating the new batch of Cask Strength Rye Whiskey starts with Sagamore’s commitment to sourcing high-quality grains through their grain-to-glass process and connecting with the local farming community. These grains are used to create Sagamore’s high-rye and low-rye whiskeys that are both triple distilled and matured for 7 years before being blended in small batches. The blending of two straight whiskeys gives complexity, while Sagamore’s triple distillation process enhances its distinct smoothness.
