The non‑alcoholic craft beer trend continues to gain momentum, and today brings another major entry, this time from Revolution Brewing in Chicago, Illinois. The brewery is preparing to launch Anti Zero NA IPA, a hop‑forward non‑alcoholic IPA designed for drinkers who want full flavor without the alcohol.

Anti Zero NA IPA is described as an American hop powerhouse, brewed with what Revolution calls a “fistful of hops.” Expect bright aromatics, layered bitterness, and a classic Revolution IPA profile, just delivered in a less‑than‑0.5% ABV format. This release continues Revolution’s push into the NA category, offering craft beer fans a flavorful alternative that still delivers the brewery’s signature hop intensity.

In addition to its low alcohol content, Anti Zero NA IPA comes with clear nutritional details: 73 calories and 15g carbs per 12‑oz serving, making it a lighter, more approachable option for drinkers looking to moderate without sacrificing taste.

For this release, Revolution Brewing is packaging Anti Zero NA IPA in 12‑oz cans, aligning it with the rest of the brewery’s year‑round and seasonal offerings. The combination of hop‑driven flavor, low ABV, and accessible nutrition stats positions this beer as a standout in the growing non‑alcoholic IPA category.

HISTORY

In the summer of 1995, Josh Deth landed a job at Golden Prairie Brewing. At this now-defunct brewery, Josh was just a novice, where he started learning the beer business by dutifully cleaning kegs and scrubbing tanks.

A few years later, Josh dreamt up the idea for Revolution while working at Goose Island as a cellarman and brewpub brewer. After the first few tries at opening a brewery didn’t work out, Josh opened Handlebar in 2003 with his wife, Krista, and a few friends. Always taking on more, he also held the role of Executive Director of Logan Square Chamber of Commerce, working to promote local businesses and simultaneously managing the Logan Square Farmers Market. In 2008, while working at the Chamber, he found a cool old building on Milwaukee Avenue with a nice tin ceiling. The brewery idea bubbled up again.

After a few years of raising funds, planning construction, and dealing with the zoning department, Revolution Brewing opened up in February 2010. We added our 2nd-floor Brewers’ Lounge in July 2011. Our production brewery and tap room opened in spring 2012. Since then, our brewing capacity has been continuously growing. We purchased the production brewery on Kedzie in the spring of 2022, cementing our future of brewing in Chicago.

Revolution currently distributes in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nashville, New Jersey, New York City, and Wisconsin.

In 2017, Revolution Brewing became the 40th largest craft brewery and 50th largest overall brewery in the country according to the Brewers Association Top 50 Brewing Companies by Sales Volume.

Our Story
We believe good stuff should be accessible.

In our previous lives, we were music industry veterans behind some of the largest festivals in the country. Along the way, we saw the demand for quality cocktails growing, but the careful preparation required to make one made service in high-volume environments pretty difficult. We fantasized about creating a world-class cocktail in an easy-to-serve vessel, thinking maybe we could help solve a problem for venues, events, restaurants, bars, airplanes, and regular folks at home on the couch. Eventually, we stopped fantasizing and started actually doing it.

Enlisting the help of our favorite bartender and James Beard finalist, Miles Macquarrie of Kimball House, we developed classic cocktail recipes and packaged them up to drink at any time and, just about, any place. Tip Top Proper Cocktails are always within reach, especially if a trusted bartender or a fully-stocked bar is not.
