Pyramid's Apricot Ale Takes Gold Again at 2014 Great American Beer Festival®

SEATTLE, Oct. 28, 2014 – Pyramid Breweries’ Apricot Ale added another gold medal to its collection at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival® held in Denver earlier this month. The beer earned top honors, placing first out of 65 competitive beers in the "Fruit Wheat Beer" category.
"Whether you’re a beer drinker looking to get into craft, or you just appreciate a great fruit or wheat beer, Apricot Ale is one you don’t want to miss," said Ryan Pappe, head brewer, Pyramid Breweries. Winning History
Apricot Ale first won gold at GABF® back in 1994 when it was one of the first fruit beers on the craft beer scene. At that time, Pyramid – a pioneer in the craft beer movement – was already celebrating its 10 year anniversary. Over the years, Pyramid has won numerous awards, including a total of four medals for Apricot Ale from GABF®:
- 2014, entered by Pyramid Breweries, Fruit Wheat Beer category, GABF® Gold
- 2010, entered by Pyramid Breweries, Fruit Beer category, GABF® Silver
