With the Neighborhood Edition, Priceline developed new tools to empower travelers to discover hidden gems and unique neighborhoods that align with their interests and passions. Whether seeking the perfect home-away-from-home vibe or unlocking the best-kept secrets of a new city, Priceline’s Trip Intelligence can quickly find the perfect place for you. The new Neighborhood Edition also allows travelers to further explore an area thanks to an integration with Turo, the largest peer-to-peer car sharing marketplace. Travelers can now book the exact car they want, conveniently in the exact neighborhood they want, from a vibrant community of trusted hosts across the US.

Priceline’s 2025 Trend Report: Where To Next?, identified the rise of ‘Awayborhoods’, or neighborhoods brimming with local charm and culture, as a new travel trend. The report also surfaced that over one-third (37%) of travelers believe the neighborhood they stay in impacts their vacation experience. As more travelers choose to explore off-the-beaten path areas with a desire to live like a local, choosing the right area to stay has never been more important for a successful trip.

“Our research found that nearly half of travelers prefer authentic, local experiences to connect more deeply with the places they visit. The new neighborhood features include proprietary and intuitive AI-powered tools to help travelers easily identify their ideal destinations by matching their preferences to neighborhoods with similar atmospheres and attractions. Key features include:

• Neighborhood Navigator: Curious about the “Greenpoint, Brooklyn” of Portland? The AI-powered Neighborhood Navigator allows users to find their perfect destination by identifying and mapping the local equivalent of neighborhoods they love in different cities. Launching in beta, with current coverage across 35 cities (and more domestic and international destinations to come) it’s the ultimate tool for local immersion.
• Neighborhood Content Pages: Detailed neighborhood descriptions, AI-generated comparisons and tailored activity suggestions allow trip planners to dive deeper into potential destinations. Visual and information-rich pages give travelers the insights they crave to make informed decisions.
• Trip Vibe Selector: Travelers can choose from a list of “vibes” that align with their tastes—whether they’re drawn to vibrant nightlife, serene destinations for self care, or culinary adventures. The Trip Vibe Selector suggests neighborhoods and hotels that match their input for a highly personalized planning experience. Available exclusively on the Priceline app.
• Penny Maps: Seamlessly integrated into Penny, Priceline’s AI-powered travel assistant’s chat functionality, this feature maps out any place mentioned—hotels, restaurants, parks, museums, and more. With a simple tap on the map icon, travelers can instantly see locations and plan their trips with ease.
• Seamless Integration with Turo: The new Trip Intelligence suite includes Priceline’s integration with Turo, the world’s largest peer-to-peer car-sharing marketplace. Priceline customers now have access to an extensive inventory of vehicles, allowing them to book the exact make and model of their desired car across thousands of local neighborhood locations. Turo also allows users to skip traditional rental counters for a seamless pickup experience.
