Peroni Nastro Azzurro Celebrates 50 Years

Peroni Nastro Azzurro will also debut a limited edition package design in honor of its 50^th Anniversary, featuring the beer’s iconic symbol: the Blue Ribbon. The brand’s name, Nastro Azzurro, comes from the Italian words for "Blue Ribbon" – the name of the prize given to the ship that crossed the Atlantic in the shortest time. The beer was given this name in honor of the SS Rex, the only Italian ship to have received the award, as a symbol of the beer’s premium quality and distinction.
