Mybeerbuzz Highlights The Padmate S30 Bone Condition Earbuds (Review)

I’m always excited to try out new electronics, and as an avid runner and fitness fan, my favorite electronics are the ones that deliver music. Anyone who works out on a regular basis knows it can be a bit tedious and boring, and nothing makes the time pass faster than music.

Today we’ll be test-driving a new set of earbuds to deliver music, but I think you’ll see that these are quite different than your average earbuds. I’m talking about the Padmate S30 Bone Condition Earbuds….and before I convince you how much you want these earbuds, how about an additional 20% off code?  Just use the code MBB20 when you purchase!image

These earbuds will be launching in mid February so we’re getting an early peek at how they work. According to Padmate, the S30 earbuds feature:

  •  Innovative bone conduction technology build-in headphones to protect your hearing. During wearing, your ears remain open to awareness for ambient sounds.

  • Open-Ear All-Day Comfort

  • Lightweight soft rubber, skin-friendly and non-feeling, fits and wears for a long  Widely Use: These IPX5 ratings can resist rain and sweat

  • Enjoy 6 hrs continuous hours of playtime start fast charge

  • 26g ultra-lightweight

  • Fit with Glasses or Sunglasses

Of course I can’t wait to try them out, so off we go.

Connection to my iPod for music was quick and seamless via Bluetooth and they also connected easily to my phone for receiving calls. It was also easy to change between devices as I went from phone to iPod. The built-in microphone made making phone calls convenient and the microphone sound was actually very good compared to others I’ve used.Mybeerbuzz Highlights The Padmate S30 Bone Condition Earbuds (Review)

The Padmate S30 are a bit different than traditional earbuds, so the fit feels different, but you quickly get used to the feel and in no time I was off and running. At 26g these earbuds are light and after a few minutes you barely know they are on your head. I was initially worried that they may bounce a bit too much when running, but they stayed secure and once again I quickly forgot that they were there. The rubber material feels soft and secure and even after a 5-mile run, they were still comfortable and still felt and sounded great. The S30 also did really well with sweat and while I didn’t test them in the rain, their IPX5 rating makes me think they will be fine in rain as well.

S30 battery life seems very good, even after using them for an hour a day for 5-days straight. I run 5-days a week so this was perfect for me. Charging was simple and quick and I liked how quickly they charged as well…again perfect for how I use headphones when working out

Running with music has it’s issues, but right out of the gate, the S30 eliminate some of those issues. If you run in the city like me, traffic and cars can be a problem, especially if you can’t hear them coming. The Padmate S30 design doesn’t go in your ears like a traditional earbud. Instead they sit in an open-ear design making it easier to hear cars and safer to run. You may think this design will compromise the quality of the music and sounds but I can verify that they sound great. The base is rich and the treble bright and it was really nice to be able to hear my music and hear what’s going on around me at the same time.Mybeerbuzz Highlights The Padmate S30 Bone Condition Earbuds (Review)

From a sound quality standpoint, I was really surprised at how good the audio was. I was worried that because they don’t actually fit inside your ears, that the quality may suffer. This was not the case and the sounds was as good or better than my normal earbuds. Add in that you can actually feel the music as well, and the music experience is really solid.

Overall the Padmate S30 Bone Condition Earbuds were really very good. They were comfortable, they fit well and they allowed me to still hear what’s going on around me in addition to my music. This was a game changer for me as far as running in the city and I actually felt much safer being able to hear my music as well as the traffic around me. Battery life and charging are as good or better than anything I’ve used and of course the music and phone calls sounded great. Finally, I really liked how the music felt with the “bone condition” which is a new experience if you’re used to traditional earbuds. The Padmate S30 will definitely change the way I listen to music when I work out and I think it will do the same for you.
