Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights The Sawyer Squeeze CNOC Collaboration Filtration System (Review)

Just a few weeks ago, I brought you the exciting news that Sawyer Water Filtration and CNOC Outdoors were partnering on a new filtration collaboration. Of course we hade to test them out for ourselves with a little winter camping and backpacking.

As an avid hiker and backpacker, I was thrilled to see a collaboration between two brands that have both been staples in my outdoor kit for many years, Sawyer water filters and CNOC Outdoors. These two brands comprise the crux of my water filtration system, and now they can be part of yours too as they have partnered in a premium collaboration with the Sawyer Squeeze Premium Bottle System and the Sawyer Squeeze Premium Bladder System.

So what makes both of these brands and products so special?

Sawyer water filters are the absolute best water filter out there for several reasons. Firstly, they last for a very long time with the proper (and minimal, in my opinion) care. Each filter cleans up to 100,000 gallons of water, removing 99.99999% of bacteria, salmonella, E. coli, protozoa (cryptosporidium and giardia) and microplastics with no chemicals or batteries required. The fiber walls inside the filter are thicker and therefore stronger than other hollow fiber membranes, they are tested three times during the manufacturing process, and they can be cleaned over and over again. Caring for the filter is easy and includes not allowing the filter to freeze (just put it in your sleeping bag if sleeping in sub-freezing temperatures and don’t store it in a freezing garage) and back-plunging the filter after use.

CNOC outdoors makes reusable, collapsible, lightweight bottles and bladders. They are easy to store when not in use (I roll the bladder and crumple up the bottle and stuff them in the side pocket of my pack). They are BPA-free, FDA approved and built with extra durable TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) which lasts a very long time compared to a disposable plastic water bottle.

The Sawyer Squeeze Water Filtration System with the CNOC 2 Liter bladder is great for backpacking and refilling your water supply on short hikes too. The bladder serves as a great dirty water bag that allows you to easily scoop water from the source and filter into a clean bottle either by squeezing it through the attached filter or by simply hanging the system over your water bottle and allowing gravity to do the work.

The Sawyer Squeeze Water Filtration System with the CNOC 1 Liter bottle is great for both backpacking and hiking too as it allows you to use the bottle to scoop water from your water source, simply screw the Sawyer Squeeze filter on your bottle and squeeze the filtered water directly into your mouth while on the go. I like to store my CNOC bottle (filter attached) into the side pocket of my day hike pack or in my Chicken Tramper Bottle Holder on the front of the strap of my backpacking pack.

It’s no surprise that both of these brands can be found in the kits of thru-hikers, day-hikers, casual backpackers, and YouTube outdoors celebrities alike. They truly are the best at each of their respective roles. With this partnership, you don’t need to buy their products separately, you can simply buy one or both kits, and you will have all you need to filter water in the outdoors.

To purchase the Sawyer Squeeze Water Filtration System with the CNOC 2 Liter bladder and the Sawyer Squeeze Water Filtration System with the CNOC 1 Liter bottle, visit sawyer.com or REI. One or both of these kits will provide all you need to start filtering water in the wild and making your adventures just a little bit safer and more enjoyable.

Be sure to try the Sawyer / CNOC collaboration for yourself, and when you do try it, be sure to let us know what YOU think.  zzubreebym )
