I should admit up front that sampling vodka and describing the flavors and feel can be a bit challenging. The flavors can be very subtle and the descriptors can be equally subtle, but I’m excited to give it a go because I think you’ll find this Vodka really special.

Today I’ll be sampling Vavoom Vodka and I think you’ll find it to be very different in a lot of ways. First we should mention the “handcrafted in Milan” bottle.  Suddenly the Vavoom part of the name makes sense, but as Vavoom puts it, “The artistic, handcrafted bottle makes the vodka perfect for a unique and thoughtful gift, or to stand out beautifully on the top shelf of a bar display. Vavoom’s vodka flawlessly depicts the company’s message to Be beautiful. Be you.”

Say what you want about the bottle subject, but the sculpted glass itself is amazing and the bottle is really striking in person…and while it looks great, I’m also here to tell you that it tastes even better.

Vavoom Vodka is gluten-free, five-times distilled, finished three times and the resulting spirit is really unique. While I’m not accustomed to sampling Vodka straight up, with Vavoom, I was pleasantly surprised. This Vodka is complex and interesting with flavors that while subtle, are also enticing and flavorful.

Vavoom Vodka has an outstanding mouthfeel and the word “smooth” doesn’t go nearly far enough to describe how this spirit feels. There’s a really pleasant softness to the mouthfeel and a really drinkable quality in each sip.

Vavoom Vodka was created by liquor entrepreneur Luke Battiloro and it will now be available in U.S. markets and as he describes the overall experience… “Battiloro believes the unique, artisan packaging is an indispensable part of his brand’s appeal. “We wanted to give this new generation of consumers a Vodka to call their own” Battiloro said. “People want something new. Of course my sampling of this 100% gluten-free spirit would not be complete without a cocktail…and with a Vodka this good, I could not resist making a simple dirty martini.  Vavoom Vodka brought a new level of complexity and interest to what is a really familiar drink for me. The balance of flavors and the unique experience imparted by the Vavoom Vodka’s contribution to the martini made for a really good cocktail.

Overall I was really pleasantly surprised by just how flavorful and delicious Vavoom Vodka is. The complexity and mouthfeel make for a really unique drinking experience that I think you will really enjoy, and the bottle will certainly stand out on your bar shelf.
