The brewery will introduce a new lineup of limited release beers to the market, focusing on rotating taps and variety.

Flat12 Bierwerks is an independent craft brewery located in the fast-growing Holy Cross neighborhood— just east of downtown Indianapolis. The production brewery, one of the first in the city, is excited to announce its plans for 2018 focusing on producing a large variety of exciting and innovative beers for special release.
In addition to a fresh approach to 2018’s production plan, Flat12 is expanding their Barrel Aged Woodwerks and Barrel Aged Sourwerks programs, and has developed a new Fruited Kölsch Series for quarterly release featuring light German-style Kölsch beers made with real Oregon fruit. The brewery will release several new beers each month on draft, in six pack cans and large-format bottles, and will continue to research and develop new beers that will only be available in the downtown Indy taproom.

Over the last several months, the Flat12 team has been working to develop this diverse lineup of new beers, staying ahead of market trends. According to Flat12’s Head Brewer Sean Lewis, “I think we’ve all seen that Indiana beer is changing, and craft beer today is all about creativity and variety. For 2018, we are excited to focus on bringing that creativity to the market in as many ways as we can. Customers might also see us make changes to our core lineup later this year.”

Producing high-quality, creative craft beers is Lewis’ top priority. The new calendar allows Flat12 to showcase this creativity in many avenues — from new barrel aged brews, to sour and funk beers, to experimenting with different fruited styles. The 2018 calendar features unique products such as a Blackberry Berliner Weiss, a funky Brett Barrel Aged Double IPA, a Peach Kölsch, a Barrel Aged Belgian Dark Strong, and a Barrel Aged Plum Wit Sour, in addition to several other new brews and a few returning Flat12 favorites. Flat12 will also offer limited monthly releases of new six pack 12oz cans and wax dipped large-format, hand-bottled barrel aged and sour beers.

Flat12 owner, Andrew Teed is also excited about Flat12’s new production schedule. “Our vision for 2018 is rooted in the genesis of our company name. As you can read on our cans, “The ingenuity of the Flathead 12 cylinder engine revolutionized racing in the great state of Indiana. We foster that same creative spirit of ingenuity with every beer we create.” I’m appreciative that our brewing operations are lead by Sean Lewis, our award-winning head brewer, who is uniquely capable of bringing our vision to reality.”
New releases coming up include a new Peach Kolsch made with real fruit, a large-format bottle Cherry Blonde Sour, and a funky Farmhouse Wit on draft in the taproom only.
