About Evil Genius Beer:
Here’s a rundown on Evil Genius Beer Company and what makes them interesting:
Overview & History
Evil Genius Beer Company is a craft brewery based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
It was founded in 2011 by two friends who met in college.
In 2017, they opened a 15-barrel brewhouse in Philadelphia (called “The Lab”) that serves as their experimental space for recipes, one-off batches, etc.
Their taproom / brewery complex is in the Fishtown neighborhood, at 1727 N Front St.
Branding, Style & Philosophy
Evil Genius is known for its playful, pop-culture–influenced beer names and branding. Their tagline or slogan is along the lines of “Very Silly Names for Very Serious Beers.”
They lean heavily into creativity, experimentation, and fun — using humorous names, references, wordplay, mashups, cultural nods, etc.
Their taproom also hosts events like trivia nights, live music, cornhole leagues, drag brunches, etc.
Beer Portfolio & Styles
They produce a wide variety of beers, from flagships to seasonal / limited releases. Some highlights:

Taproom & Experience
The brewery / taproom (The Lab) is open with various hours; they maintain a current taplist on their site.
They host brewery tours and “pour certificates” (you can tour + get a beer) on Saturdays.
Their facility is described in reviews as having indoor and outdoor seating, a beer garden, and a lively atmosphere.
Distribution & Reach
They distribute to multiple states in the U.S., especially in the Mid-Atlantic / Northeast (PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, etc.).
Their beers can be found in bottles, cans, kegs. They also supply to bars/restaurants.
Not all beers are permanent; many are seasonal or limited, so availability may vary by region.
