Colorado Brews TV Show Highlights Colorado Breweries on PBS

Denver, CO March 1, 2013/mbb/ – “Colorado Brews” is a new half hour television program devoted to showcasing Colorado’s craft breweries. Each episode will feature one of the state’s outstanding breweries and highlight the signature beers it produces and the passionate brewmasters who create them. The pilot episode will be broadcast on Rocky Mountain PBS Saturday, April 6^th at 9:30 pm and feature Crabtree Brewing Company in Greeley. This is the first television program of its kind ever broadcast in Colorado.

The show is the vision of creator and executive producer Charles Nuckolls and includes a cast of Colorado beer enthusiasts. “Colorado Brews” host, Ed Sealover, is a reporter for the Denver Business Journal and author of Mountain Brew: A Guide to Colorado’s Breweries. His supporting cast includes Executive Chef David Davis of The Golden Hotel, who does a food and beer pairing segment; beer blogger Billy Broas, who does a home brewing segment; beer blogger Leah Arthur, who reports in each episode from one of Colorado’s beer events or festivals; and beer blogger Dave Butler, who hosts a beer tech segment that focuses on a technical aspect of beer.

John Hickenlooper, Colorado’s Governor and former Mayor of Denver, even founded Colorado’s first brewpub, Wynkoop Brewing Co., in 1988. We are proud that Rocky Mountain PBS is airing a program showcasing one of Colorado’s most well known products.”

If the program is well received by viewers the first full season will premiere on Rocky Mountain PBS in the fall of 2013.

“Colorado Brews” was developed by Colorado Media Lab (CML), a Denver based multi-media company. In addition to Colorado Brews, CML is near completion on a two-hour historical documentary about Dearfield, Colorado, the all African-American farming community created in Weld County in 1910, and is developing a program on Paul Andrews, a Denver based commercial airline pilot and art photographer who is the only person to create aerial art photography of all 54 of Colorado’s 14er mountain ranges.
