Tennent’s 1885 Lager Cans Return to the US
Charleston, SC: Total Beverage Solution, a full-service national importer, and supplier of
premium award-winning beer, wine, and spirits, is excited to announce a new product addition
from Tennent’s: Pint Cans.
Tennent’s Lager is a crisp, clean pilsner-style lager with fruity notes and refreshing bitterness.
Every perfect pint of Tennent’s Lager contains only 100% Scottish barley, the finest hops and
the freshest water from Loch Katrine. A staple on draft at Scottish and British pubs throughout
the US, cans were previously offered in the US market. Thanks to popular demand, a 4-pack,
16.9oz can format is available at retail stores, restaurants and bars in 2025.
“Total Beverage Solution is incredibly thrilled to relaunch Tennent’s in its pint can format,” said
Zach LaRose, Brand Manager at Total Beverage Solution. “Over the past five years, Tennent’s
cans remain the single most requested item across our wide-ranging portfolio of venerated
beer, wine and spirits.”
Tennent’s Family brewing history dates to 1556. Hugh & Robert Tennent established H&R
Partnership in 1740 and later founded Wellpark Brewery in 1793. Tennent’s Lager was born in
1885 – a “madman’s dream” after a succeeding Hugh Tennent returned from a visit to Bavaria.
Today, Tennent’s is Scotland’s #1 selling beer.
