Avery Adding White Rascal Non-Alcoholic
Today brings news of a fresh entry into the growing non‑alcoholic craft beer category, and it’s coming from Avery Brewing Co. in Boulder, Colorado. The brewery is preparing to release White Rascal Non‑Alcoholic, a new NA take on one of its most recognizable and beloved beers.
White Rascal Non‑Alcoholic will be brewed as a Belgian‑style white ale crafted with the classic combination of orange peel and coriander, delivering the bright citrus aroma and spicy herbal character that define the style. While it mirrors the flavor profile of Avery’s flagship White Rascal, this version will contain less than 0.5% ABV, placing it squarely within the non‑alcoholic beer category while still aiming to offer a full craft‑beer experience.
In an interesting production twist, the beer will be packaged in 12‑oz cans by Avery’s sister brewery, Founders Brewing Co. in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This partnership highlights the growing collaboration within the craft beer world as breweries expand their NA offerings and leverage shared resources to bring new products to market.
With consumer interest in non‑alcoholic craft beer, NA Belgian‑style ales, and better‑for‑you beverage options continuing to rise, White Rascal Non‑Alcoholic is poised to become a notable addition to Avery’s lineup. Fans of the original White Rascal, and drinkers seeking flavorful, low‑ABV alternatives, will likely be eager to see how this NA interpretation captures the essence of the classic.
Stay tuned for full release details, tasting notes, and additional information as Avery Brewing prepares to roll out White Rascal Non‑Alcoholic in the coming months.
About Avery Brewing:
Avery Brewing Company, founded by Adam Avery in 1993, is a nationally recognized brewery known for its eccentric ales and lagers, with a focus on pursuing mastery of beer and revealing its power. They have a tap room and restaurant in Boulder, Colorado, and distribute their beers across the country.
In the early 90s, 27-year-old Adam Avery stumbled upon the art of homebrewing after being accepted to law school. “Homebrewing totally consumed me,” he says. “I had two or three batches going at once.” Making the tough decision to forego law school, Adam talked his father, Larry, into using some of his retirement money to open a brewery with him.
Thankfully (for our sake and for Larry’s), Adam’s talent for brewing led to the creation of some memorable brews. After 20 years of brewing award-winning beer in a small warehouse, Adam finally got a chance to build his dream brewery. He wanted to create a special space for people to come together and connect over craft beer and great food.
The Avery Tap Room and Restaurant offers more than 30 taps of year-round beers and rotating Tap Room Rarities.
Chef Chris Blackwood’s locally sourced menu changes throughout the year to reflect seasonal offerings. Daily specials include a popular fried chicken sandwich and a seriously impressive smorgasbord of house-smoked meats, all served up with appreciation and love.
With our cozy Tap Room and our beer distribution across the country, Avery is both a nationally acclaimed brewery and a perfect gathering place for family and friends.
