Goose Island Adding Tepache Sunset Cans

Today I have a new can coming soon from Goose Island Barrel House in Chicago, IL. This is Tepache Sunset and it will be a Tepache-inspired flavored ale aged in Tequila barrels with pineapple juice, orange juice and tamarind purée added. The beer will hit 5.3%-AbV and you’re looking at the 16oz can. Stay tuned for release info. For 2022 the beer will be updated to 5.6%-AbV and this 12oz can (below).

Tepache Sunset is the newest release in our Barrel House Series. We started by aging a Saison in freshly dumped Tequila barrels for 3 months. Knowing that this beer would work well with different fruits and being inspired by the Tepache Agua Fresca made at a local store in the Pilsen neighborhood, we added pineapple, orange, and tamarind for a refreshing and juicy finish.
