Dogfish Head Announces A Collab That Makes Their Hearts Flutter

Here at Dogfish Head, we brew off-centered ales for off-centered people … and that means ALL people. So, naturally, for our third Benevolence Beer of 2023, we partnered with our pals at CAMP Rehoboth to create Passion Pride, a beer for all people that celebrates all people! 

Fluttering in at 6.5% ABV, Passion Pride is a blonde ale brewed with honey, passionfruit and butterfly pea flower extract. Now, you might be thinking “what the heck is a butterfly pea flower”?? This plant, commonly known as Asian pigeonwings, is often used in teas and as a natural dye for textiles, cocktails, and (you guessed it) beer! This extract is like a mood ring for drinks… just add a little citrus and this blue ingredient because a lovely lavender! 

“We worked with our friends at CAMP Rehoboth to create a beer that celebrates the spirit of pride and offers something for everyone. Passion Pride is a fruity and playful honey-kissed blonde ale with tiki drink vibes, thanks to the addition of real passion fruit,” said our Brewing Manager, Bryan Selders. “All of this comes with a fun twist— this blonde ale is purple thanks to a magical addition of butterfly pea flowers.” 

A portion of the beer’s proceeds will be donated to CAMP Rehoboth to support its mission of creating a positive environment, inclusive of all sexual orientations and gender identities in Rehoboth Beach and its surrounding communities.

Passion Pride will release at Brewings & Eats and our Off-Centered emPOURium on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in conjunction with the second Benevolence Night in August that also supports CAMP Rehoboth! From 4 – 11 p.m. on Wednesdays, August 9 and 23, 10% of all proceeds will be donated to the local non-profit.

Passion Pride will be available on draft for on-site consumption at our Rehoboth brewpub and to-go in 4pk/16oz cans at the Off-Centered EmPOURium, while supplies last. Priced at $XX per 4pk.
