Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights The Firestone Walker Into The Haze Variety Pack 2024 (Review)

Back in 2019, Firestone Walker brewed a new hazy IPA called Mind Haze (announcement here). I was already a big fan of fruit-forward hazy IPAs, but Firestone Walker took it to a new level.

This new hazy IPA was followed with a double version and all sorts of variants like Tiki Smash, Hopical Crush, Citrus Cyclone, Tropic Rocket and Light IPA…and today I’m excited to bring you two more as part of the Firestone Walker Into The Haze Variety Pack.

These new variants are called Mind Haze Brain Melter and Mind Haze Cosmic Crusher and they extend the Mind Haze family in an exciting new direction. These two new Mind Hazes will join the original to form the 2024 Into The Haze Variety Pack. The two new variants are joined by the original Mind Haze to form an exciting new way to enjoy some great hazy IPAs. Of course I can’t wait to try them, so off we go…

Firestone Walker Mind Haze Brain Melter

Brewery Description:

Intense hop aromas & lusciously smooth textures that push the boundaries of hazy IPA perfection. 

ABV:  8.5%
IBU: 40
Hops: Vic Secret, Citra & Strata
Style:  Hazy Imperial IPA
Packaging:  12oz cans
Appearance:  Deep golden orange
Aroma:   Tropical fruit, grapefruit, hops and citrus
Mouthfeel:   Medium & satisfying
Taste:  Bright citrus, tropical fruits and fruit juice
Overall:  Firestone Walker Mind Haze Brain Melter is loaded with fruit-forward flavors that are backed by a hearty and satisfying 8.5%-ABV. The mix of flavors is classically tropical and the blend of hops carries a unique combination of flavors that I know you’ll love as much as I do. Overall this is a really drinkable, satisfying and boozy imperial IPA that has some of my favorite hazy IPA fruit flavors. This beer is quickly becoming a favorite that I’m sure will find it’s way back into my ‘fridge (and yours) again and again.

Firestone Walker Mind Haze Cosmic Crusher

Brewery Description:

Explosions of succulent pineapple and mango are where juicy bliss meets cosmic intensity.

ABV:  9.5%
IBU: 26
Hops: Galaxy & Strata
Style:  Juicy Imperial IPA
Packaging:  12oz cans
Appearance:  Deep golden
Aroma:   Tropical fruit & pineapple
Mouthfeel:   Medium
Taste:   Pineapple, pineapple, pineapple and mango
Overall:  Firestone Walker Mind Haze Cosmic Crusher is taking “fruit-forward” to a new level with this beer. The combination of “ultra-tropical” hops and the yeast chosen by our pal Matt Brynildson make for a beer that both retains a family resemblance to the other Mind Haze variants, but also blazes a new and juicy imperial IPA path.
