Saint Arnold Announces Oktoberfest 2024 Details

There have been celebrations associated with the autumn harvest of hops since hops began being cultivated centuries ago. It probably is not a coincidence that in 1810 Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese von Saschsen-Hilburghausen chose to get married in early October, right after the Bavarian hop harvest and the first beers of the season could be brewed. After all, what is more important to Bavarian culture than beer?

Their wedding turned into a rollicking two week long party so epic that it continues to be celebrated to this day in Munich – and at Saint Arnold – as Oktoberfest!

We invite you to join us for our own celebration of Bavarian beer culture and Oktoberfest beginning Friday, September 20 and culminating with two evenings of our annual Oktoberfest Party on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5.

During the two weeks we will be tapping special beers inspired from our brewers’ annual hop selection trips to the Hallertau region of Bavaria and serving dishes that you would find there – as well as some that are more of a playful nod to the Old Country.

Oktoberfest Kickoff Celebration

The festivities begin with a Kickoff Celebration at our Beer Garden on Friday, September 20. To get things started, we’ll be tapping our first cask of Oktoberfest at 6:00 PM, marking the official start of Oktoberfest season at the Saint Arnold Beer Garden. Come early and get a free taste!

We’ll also be tapping a German-style Hefeweizen – the first of several traditional styles debuting throughout the season – perfect for pairing with our Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich, also debuting that day.

Stein hoisting? Check. Houston Brass Band polkaing your eyes out with the best oompah hits? Double check.

If our Kickoff Celebration doesn’t get you in the mood for Oktoberfest, you’re going to need plane tickets to Munich!

October 4 & October 5:

Our two week long celebration of German beer and food culminates with our annual weekend bash. As usual, we’ll have two days of celebration at our Beer Garden on Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5. Admission is free both days!

Each evening, our place will be rocking from 4:00 to 9:00 PM with high energy live music from Das Ist Lustig with Valina Polka, a special lineup of German-style beers, commemorative Oktoberfest mugs and t-shirts, and a whole slew of Oktoberfest activities.

On the beer front, our annual favorites Oktoberfest and Guten Tag will of course be on tap, alongside a full lineup of traditional styles. Get ready to enjoy a German-style Hefeweizen, a Festbier, a Helles, a German Pils, and a Schwarzbier on tap. The time and place for these beers is Oktoberfest at Saint Arnold!

Of course, make sure you wear your favorite dirndl or lederhosen to enter our costume contest and have a chance to be crowned King or Queen of Oktoberfest. Throughout the evening, we’ll also be hosting a stein hoisting contest and pretzel eating contest. Rich Saint Arnold prizes await the winners!

Tailgate with Saint Arnold

The Texans are gearing up with a fresh look and sky high expectations. We’re excited to announce Saint Arnold will be back to tailgating before every regular season home game.

Saint Arnold tailgates will work a bit differently this season. Here’s what you need to know to enjoy some pregame beers with the Brew Crew:

This year, there will be no online registration required prior to the game. To join us, just show up at our spot, where you and each of your guests will scan a QR code to register for the tailgate and sign up for our newsletter (this very one!). Show us the confirmation page on your phone and we’ll give you a wristband for beer. That’s it!

Our tailgate is located in the Platinum lot on Row G by the center aisle – you can look for our Art Car IPA van and Saint Arnold tents. We’ll start serving beer at 10:00 AM for standard noon kickoffs. Our tailgates are free to attend (but may fill up at a certain point). Must be 21+.
