Karben4 Brewing Adding Kernza Pub Ale In Madison, WI

Today I have some exciting “Climate Friendly” beer news coming to you from Karben4 Brewing in Madison, WI.

This is Kernza Pub Ale and it will be a taproom-only release on 30 Jan 2025. Here are the full details from Karben4:   zzubreebym

We are extremely proud to be debuting a new and truly unique beer in the taproom this Thursday, and we’re throwing a party for the occasion.

Brewed with Wisconsin-grown Kernza® and loosely based on English ales of the late 20th century, this orange-colored beer starts hoppy (but not as much as an IPA!) and ends fruity (but not from fruit!) with a bread-like maltiness throughout.

If you’re unfamiliar with Kernza, that may be because this is the very first beer to be brewed with this sustainable wheat alternative sourced entirely from Wisconsin farms. The hard work of many went into crafting this bad boy. We’d like to send a huge thank you to Clean Wisconsin, who will be hosting a happy hour release party in our taproom from 4-6pm Thursday, as well as the Kernza Supply Chain Hub, the Michael Fields Agricultural Institute, Rooster Milling, and the UW-Extension Emerging Crops.
