As the NFL prepares to return for another season, Bud Light is once again putting football, fan culture and plenty of humor at the center of its marketing strategy. The Official Beer Sponsor of the NFL is kicking off the 2026 season with a new campaign featuring longtime partner Peyton Manning alongside comedian Shane Gillis, while bringing back one of its most recognizable football traditions: limited-edition NFL team cans.

The new Bud Light NFL campaign continues the brand’s long-running approach of turning familiar gameday situations into comedy. This time, Manning and Gillis find themselves going to increasingly ridiculous lengths to get their hands on a Bud Light, with the new commercials “The Move” and “Armchair” putting a humorous spin on the rituals surrounding watching football with friends.

The return of Bud Light NFL team cans adds a collectible element to the 2026 campaign, with 27 sponsored NFL teams represented through retro-inspired designs. For fans 21 and older, the cans also provide an opportunity to enter for gameday prizes, including NFL+ Premium, tailgating essentials and NFL tickets. The campaign gives Bud Light another way to connect its brand directly to the excitement surrounding the NFL season.

Here is the complete Bud Light announcement detailing the new commercials, returning NFL team cans and 2026 gameday promotions:

NEW YORK –  Excuse us, excuse us, it’s NFL season! Bud Light is ready for kickoff, debuting a national campaign for the upcoming NFL season with two new commercials, the return of its fan-favorite team cans and opportunities for fans 21+ to upgrade their gameday all season long.

Starring brand partners Shane Gillis and Peyton Manning, Bud Light’s latest creative work, called “The Move” and “Armchair,” showcase just how far they will go for the clean, crisp taste of Bud Light on gameday. Alongside the new creative work, Bud Light and its 27 team partners are bringing back its limited-edition team cans featuring retro-inspired styles that allow fans to rep their team all season long. This year’s team cans feature a scannable QR code that will give fans the chance to upgrade their gameday experience with prizes including a month of NFL+ Premium*, tailgating essentials, NFL tickets and more.

Todd Allen, SVP of Marketing for Bud Light, said: “The NFL season is Bud Light season, and as the league’s Official Beer Sponsor for over two decades, we know firsthand the deep-rooted passion fans have for their team. With two hilarious new commercials featuring Shane and Peyton and our iconic team cans giving fans a chance to upgrade their experience all season, we’re making it fun to fan and celebrating the great lengths fans go to as they do anything for their team – and a Bud Light – on gameday.”

BUD LIGHT DEBUTS NEW TWO NEW SPOTS TO KICK OFF THE NFL SEASON

Bud Light’s new NFL campaign kicks off with a double feature of two new commercials “The Move” and “Armchair” starring longtime friends of the brand, comedian Shane Gillis and Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning, showcasing just how far they will go for Bud Light on gameday.

“The Move” opens on a bar packed with NFL fans and, naturally, Peyton Manning, all looking to get the bartender’s attention to order their next Bud Light. Suddenly, Shane Gillis smoothly slides in beside Manning and snags the quarterback’s prime position. The two quickly begin the all-too-familiar bar shuffle to battle for prime ordering position and the bartender’s attention: slightly leaning over the bar, attempting to poke your head and arm through the crowd and generally jostling to get noticed by the bartender. Peyton then calls in the reinforcements and recruits a fan to help him go fully horizontal across the bar to order his, and Shane’s, Bud Light.

“Armchair” brings the action to an at-home watch party, as Peyton faces the great dilemma of needing another Bud Light but not willing to give up his prime seat: an oversized recliner. When Peyton realizes the friend sitting on the floor is ready to snag his seat once he gets up for another beer, he shows he’ll do anything for that Bud Light and takes the whole armchair with him – even if it means crashing through French doors.

Peyton Manning, Pro Football Hall of Famer, said: “This Bud Light campaign truly captures what it means to go great lengths for your team and showcases how fun it is to fan during the NFL season. Partnering with Bud Light is my favorite NFL kickoff tradition and bringing Shane into the action this year made this one even funnier. I can’t wait for kickoff.”

Shane Gillis, actor writer and comedian, said: “I enjoyed shooting this Bud Light commercial with Peyton.”

Both spots will air across linear, streaming and digital, starting today.
