Today brings a bright burst of tropical beer news from New Belgium Brewing in Fort Collins, Colorado and Asheville, North Carolina. The brewery has unveiled Pineapple Swipe Out, a new fruited radler-inspired ale created in collaboration with Maui Brewing Co. of Hawaii. This release blends the strengths of two respected craft breweries and delivers a refreshing, fruit forward summer sipper designed to transport drinkers straight to the beaches of Hawaii.

Pineapple Swipe Out is built around a vibrant combination of pineapple puree, toasted coconut, and coconut water, creating a flavor profile that leans into juicy sweetness, soft tropical depth, and a clean, easy drinking finish. Surfing in at a sessionable 4% ABV, this radler-inspired ale is crafted for warm weather, outdoor gatherings, and laid back afternoons. The beer will be packaged in 12 ounce cans, making it ideal for coolers, beach bags, and summer adventures.

The label itself reinforces the tropical theme with a colorful design featuring ocean waves, a sunset glow, palm silhouettes, and the combined branding of New Belgium and Maui Brewing. It is a visual cue that Pineapple Swipe Out is meant to be fun, refreshing, and unmistakably summery.

Label Text New Belgium Pineapple Swipe Out::

“From the beaches to the mountains and back. We came together with our dear friends at Maui Brewing Co. to make an easy drinking, tropical, and super refreshing summer sipper that will transport you straight to the beaches of Hawaii.”

This collaboration highlights the shared passion both breweries have for fruit driven beers, warm weather drinking, and creative flavor combinations. Pineapple Swipe Out is expected to be a standout seasonal release, offering a balance of juicy pineapple brightness, toasted coconut richness, and a crisp radler inspired finish.

Stay tuned for release details, tasting notes, and distribution updates as Pineapple Swipe Out begins rolling out for summer.

New Belgium Brewing Co. is one of the most influential craft breweries in the United States, known for its creativity, innovation, and commitment to producing high quality beer. Founded in 1991 in Fort Collins, Colorado, New Belgium began as a small, visionary brewery inspired by Belgian traditions and driven by a desire to bring new flavors and new ideas to American craft beer. Over the years, the brewery has grown into a national leader with locations in Fort Collins and Asheville, earning recognition for its dedication to craftsmanship, sustainability, and community.

New Belgium’s early success came from Fat Tire Amber Ale, a beer that helped introduce Belgian inspired brewing to a wide American audience. Fat Tire became a cultural icon and established New Belgium as a brewery capable of balancing approachability with innovation. As the craft beer landscape evolved, New Belgium continued to push boundaries with IPAs, sours, barrel aged releases, and experimental projects that showcased its technical skill and creative spirit.

The rise of the Voodoo Ranger brand marked a major milestone for New Belgium. With its bold artwork, hop forward intensity, and adventurous personality, Voodoo Ranger quickly became one of the top selling IPA families in the country. The lineup expanded to include Imperial IPA, Juice Force, Fruit Force, and G Force, each offering a unique expression of modern hop flavor. Voodoo Ranger’s popularity helped cement New Belgium’s reputation as a brewery that understands both innovation and drinkability.

New Belgium is also known for its commitment to sustainability. The brewery is a certified B Corp and has long championed environmental responsibility, renewable energy, and community engagement. Its programs support local organizations, charitable initiatives, and cultural events that reflect the brewery’s values and dedication to positive impact.

Today, New Belgium continues to lead the craft beer industry with a focus on quality, creativity, and collaboration. Pineapple Swipe Out, created with Maui Brewing Co., is a perfect example of the brewery’s passion for flavor exploration and its ability to craft beers that capture the spirit of summer. With a legacy built on innovation and a future driven by imagination, New Belgium remains one of the most respected names in American craft beer.
