WeldWerks Working On Pulp Patrol Citra Squad
This morning brings an exciting new release for fans of hop-forward craft beer, as WeldWerks Brewing Company out of Greeley, Colorado prepares to drop another buzzworthy addition to its lineup of juicy, flavor-packed offerings. Known nationwide for pushing the boundaries of haze-forward brewing, WeldWerks continues to deliver highly sought-after releases that resonate with both die-hard craft beer enthusiasts and casual drinkers alike.
Introducing Pulp Patrol: Citra Squad, a vibrant new hazy pale ale brewed with Citra hops, one of the most iconic and celebrated hop varieties in modern craft brewing. Citra hops are famous for their explosive citrus character, delivering bold notes of grapefruit, lime, orange zest, and tropical fruit. With this single-hop focus, WeldWerks is putting the spotlight squarely on everything that makes Citra such a powerhouse in the hazy beer world.
This release falls into the increasingly popular sessionable hazy pale ale category, clocking in at a highly approachable 4.5% ABV. That lower alcohol content makes Pulp Patrol: Citra Squad the perfect go-to for extended drinking occasions, whether you’re kicking back at a backyard hangout, heading to a brewery release day, or stocking up for a weekend of easy-drinking craft beer. Despite its lighter ABV, expectations are high that WeldWerks will still deliver a full-bodied, hop-saturated experience packed with aroma and flavor.
The hazy pale ale style has become a cornerstone of the American craft beer scene, and WeldWerks has consistently been at the forefront of that movement. With a reputation built on juicy IPAs, New England-style haze bombs, and innovative hop combinations, the brewery has developed a loyal following that eagerly tracks every new can release. Pulp Patrol: Citra Squad fits perfectly within that reputation, offering a fresh take on the sessionable side of hazy brewing while maintaining the bold hop profile fans crave.
Packaged in the increasingly standard and highly collectible 16-ounce can format, this release is designed for maximum freshness, portability, and shelf appeal. The tall boy can not only helps preserve the delicate hop aroma but also makes it an ideal choice for on-the-go enjoyment or sharing among friends. WeldWerks has built a strong identity around its can releases, and this one is expected to be no exception, drawing attention both for its branding and the beer inside.
Flavor-wise, while official tasting notes have yet to drop, drinkers can reasonably anticipate a bright, juicy profile driven by Citra’s signature characteristics. Expect layers of citrus-forward aroma, hints of tropical fruit, and a soft, pillowy mouthfeel that defines the hazy pale ale style. Balanced bitterness, smooth drinkability, and a refreshing finish will likely make this beer exceptionally easy to come back to—again and again.
As with many WeldWerks releases, availability and release specifics are still under wraps, but anticipation is already building. The brewery has a track record of releasing limited quantities that move quickly, especially when it comes to hop-focused beers and new entries in branded series like Pulp Patrol. Craft beer collectors and haze lovers will definitely want to keep a close eye on official announcements, as this one has all the signs of being a quick sellout.
For anyone following WeldWerks Brewing releases, hazy pale ale drops, Citra hop beers, or Colorado craft beer trends, Pulp Patrol: Citra Squad is shaping up to be a standout addition to the ever-evolving world of juicy, low-ABV haze. Stay tuned for more updates on release timing, brewery availability, and full tasting breakdowns as more details emerge.

Our Crew
Without question, one of our biggest points of pride is the stellar team that we have been lucky enough to put together over the years. At various points these have included family, friends, and many of the characters that could be found home-brewing in co-founder Neil Fisher’s garage, years before the idea of WeldWerks was even put on the table. We also seek to bring in the best outside talent with the intent of always incorporating fresh viewpoints and best-practices across all areas of the brewery.
We are passionate about curating a group of people who can feel as though they have made important contributions to the health and operations of WeldWerks, no matter how long (or short) their stay might be with us. Every staff member is encouraged to take advantage of educational opportunities, to cross-train in different positions and to utilize our network of industry friends to learn more about any relevant personal areas of interest. Our brewery is our people, and without them, there’s no WeldWerks.

Our mantra “Dialed-In Beer” – speaks to an innate desire to continually dial-in processes and procedures in an effort to craft a world-class experience for our visitors and consumers, now and for years to come.
Our Process
All of our beers are produced in our Downtown Greeley location on both a 15-barrel 3-vessel steam brewhouse and a 30-barrel 4-vessel steam brewhouse. Innovation and experimentation are in our blood, evidenced by the 700+ unique beers we have produced in just 8 years across a nearly infinite range of styles. But an uncompromising commitment to quality and the never-ending quest for improvement are what drive us.
Dialed-In beer means dumping a batch when it doesn’t meet our exceptionally high standards without hesitation, no matter the cost. Dialed-In beer means that we will never stop learning and researching, and we will exhaust every resource at our disposal to design the best recipes, source the best ingredients, and utilize the best techniques. Dialed-In beers means when we produce a near perfect batch, our first question is how can we improve? Dialed-In beer means that when you order a WeldWerks beer, you can expect it to be expertly-crafted and world-class…but the next batch you find will be even better.
