Rail Hop’n Announces Closure After 15 Years: A Heartfelt Goodbye to Our Customers, Friends, Family, and Community

To our customers, friends, family, and the entire Auburn, Washington craft beer community — after 15 unforgettable years, the time has come for us to say goodbye. Our final day of operation will be June 30th, 2026.

This is a message we never imagined we would have to write. It comes with deep sadness, but also with overwhelming gratitude for every person who helped make Rail Hop’n a beloved part of the Auburn, WA craft beer scene for a decade and a half.

Many of you know that our recent move was necessary for us to continue growing and serving the community we love. Over the years, we poured our hearts, our time, and our personal resources into building not just two, but three Rail Hop’n locations. We fought hard to keep this dream alive. But circumstances beyond our control — ongoing city construction, repeated permitting delays, and the sale of our current building — have created challenges we simply cannot overcome. We no longer have the resources to make yet another move.

But Rail Hop’n was never just about a building. It was always about the people.

For 15 years, we shared countless laughs, hugs, stories, celebrations, and yes — plenty of BillyJack’s terrible jokes — over some truly delicious brews. We watched children grow into adults. We watched beloved dogs turn gray. We celebrated milestones, mourned losses, and even said goodbye to cherished patrons who became family, including one of our own.

To our incredible staff and volunteers: you were the heart and soul of Rail Hop’n. Your dedication, kindness, hard work, and genuine love for our customers created the warm, welcoming atmosphere that defined this place. You made Rail Hop’n more than a brewery — you made it a community.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for 15 amazing years. Thank you for your support, your loyalty, your kindness, and your friendship. Thank you for making Rail Hop’n a true Auburn, Washington gathering place — a home for craft beer lovers, families, friends, and neighbors.

This isn’t just a closing. It’s the end of a chapter filled with memories we will carry forever.
