Today marks an early first look at the makings of a brand‑new fall variety pack coming later this year from Saranac Brewery, operated by F.X. Matt Brewing Company in Utica, New York. Timed perfectly for cooler weather and festbier season, this upcoming specialty release is called 12 Beers of Oktoberfest, and it is shaping up to be a lager‑focused celebration designed for Oktoberfest and fall beer fans alike.

The Saranac 12 Beers of Oktoberfest variety pack is expected to feature a curated collection of 12 different lagers, all packaged together in a single specialty pack. This fall‑themed assortment highlights classic lager styles brewed for balance, drinkability, and seasonal flavor, making it an ideal option for drinkers searching for Oktoberfest beers, lager variety packs, and fall beer releases from New York breweries.2026 Saranac Dark Oktoberfest Lager 12-oz Bottles

While the full lineup has not yet been revealed, three beers already confirmed for the pack include:

  • Festival Pils – 5.2% ABV
  • Oktoberfest Dark Lager – 6.0% ABV
  • Helles Lager – 4.8% ABV

Each of these beers will be packaged in 12‑ounce bottles, reinforcing Saranac’s traditional approach to seasonal releases and making the pack perfect for sharing, tasting, and discovering new favorites. Together, these lagers span a range of flavors, from crisp and refreshing to malt‑forward and richly balanced, covering the full Oktoberfest spectrum.2026 Saranac Helles Lager 12-oz Bottles

As one of the most established breweries in the Northeast, Saranac / F.X. Matt Brewing Company has a long‑standing reputation for producing approachable, style‑driven beers, especially lagers. The 12 Beers of Oktoberfest pack builds on that legacy while offering craft beer fans a convenient all‑in‑one way to explore festbier‑inspired brewing during the peak of fall drinking season.

Additional beers, exact pack configuration, full tasting notes, and official release details are still to be announced. However, anticipation is already building among drinkers tracking new Saranac releases, Oktoberfest beer variety packs, and fall seasonal beer launches.

Stay tuned for more information as the Saranac 12 Beers of Oktoberfest lager variety pack approaches its fall release, promising a comprehensive and festive way to celebrate Oktoberfest through classic lager styles brewed in Utica, New York.2026 Saranac 1888 Oktoberfest 12-oz Bottles.

Founded in 1888 in Utica, New York, the F.X. Matt Brewing Company (Saranac Brewery) is the oldest family-owned brewery in New York State and the fourth oldest in the U.S.. Known for the Saranac line of beers, Utica Club, and contract brewing for other companies, they are a staple of Northeastern craft beer with a rich history of surviving Prohibition.

Key Details About Saranac Brewery:

  • Location & History: Located in Utica, NY, it was founded by Francis Xavier Matt and has remained in the family for four generations.

  • Product Line: Besides the core Saranac line, they produce Utica Club, McKenzie’s Hard Cider, and various soft drinks. They are well-known for their variety packs and the High Peaks Series.
  • Brewing Capacity: With a 500-barrel system, they produce around 500,000 barrels of beer annually, which includes contract brewing for other labels like Brooklyn Brewery.
  • Visiting: The brewery features the 1888 Tavern and offers tours that showcase its long history.
  • Events: The brewery is famous for hosting “Saranac Thursdays” during the summer, featuring live music, food, and drinks.

The brewery is currently led by third and fourth-generation family members Nick Matt and Fred Matt.
