Today brings fresh news from Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. in Decorah, Iowa, as the award‑winning brewery gears up to debut a brand‑new lager for the 2026 craft beer season. This upcoming release is called The Swing Crew Brew, and it looks to be a crisp, refreshing pilsner lager designed for easy drinking, warm‑weather sessions, and year‑round enjoyment.

Brewed with Toppling Goliath’s signature attention to detail and clean fermentation profile, The Swing Crew Brew will dance in at a highly sessionable 5.5% ABV, making it an ideal choice for fans of classic pilsners, modern craft lagers, and anyone who appreciates a bright, balanced beer with a smooth finish. This release continues Toppling Goliath’s ongoing expansion beyond their world‑famous IPAs like King Sue, Pseudo Sue, and Pompeii, into a broader lineup of lagers and approachable everyday drinkers.

Packaged in 12‑oz cans, The Swing Crew Brew is positioned to become a staple in coolers, fridges, and taprooms throughout 2026. The artwork hints at a fun, lively, music‑inspired theme, suggesting a beer built for gatherings, concerts, tailgates, and long afternoons with friends. As Toppling Goliath continues to diversify its offerings, this new pilsner lager adds another layer to the brewery’s already impressive portfolio.

A New Lager From One of America’s Most Celebrated Breweries

Toppling Goliath Brewing has earned a national reputation for excellence, particularly in the world of hop‑forward beers. But in recent years, the brewery has been steadily expanding its lager program, showcasing the same precision and craftsmanship that made its IPAs legendary. The Swing Crew Brew fits perfectly into this evolution, clean, crisp, and brewed with the kind of technical mastery that defines a great pilsner.

With a 5.5% ABV profile, this beer promises a refreshing balance of malt sweetness, subtle hop bitterness, and a smooth, snappy finish. It’s the kind of lager that appeals to both craft beer newcomers and seasoned drinkers who appreciate a well‑executed, no‑nonsense pilsner.

Why The Swing Crew Brew Matters in the 2026 Craft Beer Landscape

As the craft beer world continues to shift toward lighter, more drinkable styles, lagers and pilsners have surged in popularity. Breweries known for bold IPAs are increasingly embracing the challenge of brewing clean, precise lagers, and Toppling Goliath is no exception.

The Swing Crew Brew arrives at the perfect moment, offering:

  • A sessionable 5.5% ABV for all‑day drinkability
  • A pilsner lager profile that appeals to a wide audience
  • A 12‑oz can format ideal for distribution and accessibility
  • A fun, energetic theme that aligns with social, outdoor, and music‑driven occasions

This release is poised to become one of the standout 2026 lager debuts, especially for fans who have been waiting for more lager‑focused offerings from Toppling Goliath.

What to Expect From This 2026 Release

While full tasting notes and distribution details are still forthcoming, early indicators suggest:

  • Style: Pilsner lager
  • ABV: 5.5%
  • Packaging: 12‑oz cans
  • Flavor Profile: Clean malt backbone, crisp finish, subtle hop character
  • Availability: Expected to roll out as part of Toppling Goliath’s 2026 seasonal lineup

Given the brewery’s track record, The Swing Crew Brew is likely to deliver a polished, refreshing, highly drinkable lager that fits seamlessly into the modern craft beer landscape.

Final Thoughts

The arrival of The Swing Crew Brew marks another exciting chapter for Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. as they continue expanding their lager offerings and exploring new styles beyond their iconic IPAs. With its pilsner lager profile, 5.5% ABV, and 12‑oz can packaging, this 2026 release is shaping up to be a crowd‑pleaser, perfect for fans of crisp, clean, sessionable craft beer.

Stay tuned for official release details, tasting notes, and distribution updates as Toppling Goliath prepares to swing into the 2026 beer season with this lively new lager.
