Tröegs Celebrates the Season with Most Wonderful Beer Weekend

HERSHEY, Pennsylvania – Tröegs Independent Brewing announces the return of its Most Wonderful Beer Weekend, which will take place between Thursday, November 20 and Sunday, November 23 at the Hershey, PA-based brewery.  
 
The four-day event celebrates the independent, family-owned brewery’s beloved holiday ale, Mad Elf. Featuring five varieties of sweet-and-sour cherries and Pennsylvania wildflower honey, this cheerful, ruby-red ale has been a seasonal favorite for more than two decades.  
 
“Mad Elf captures so many things about the holidays for so many people,” says Tröegs co-founding brother Chris Trogner. “It’s a beer that really has become synonymous with the season.” 
 
The celebration commences on Thursday with the release of Night Gazer Extra Stout, a supple dark ale featuring notes of roasted coffee, toffee, and cocoa. The limited beer will be available on draft and in 16-oz. cans exclusively at the brewery.  
 
For the duration of the weekend, Tröegs will offer a special Holiday Flight featuring four of the brewery’s favorite seasonal beers including Mad Elf and its tart cherry companion, Mad Elf Grand Cru, as well as limited releases Naked Elf and Night Gazer Extra Stout. 
 
Additionally, the Snack Bar will feature the fan-favorite Mad Elf Fondue – made with Mad Elf-soaked cherries and three varieties of cheese – as well as festive holiday cookies.  
 
Over in the General Store, Tröegs will offer exclusive Gift Bundles for beer lovers on any holiday shopping list. Shoppers can also purchase a $50 Tröegs gift card and receive a free $10 gift card as a bonus.  
 
Tröegs will also be collecting new, unwrapped toys and gifts for Cocoa Packs, a Hershey-based non-profit organization supporting local children. Now through Friday, December 5, visitors who donate will receive a free Tröegs Pennsylvania Lager glass while supplies last.  
 
The event peaks on Saturday, November 22, with the inaugural Holiday Makers Market. From 12 to 5 p.m., visitors can browse and purchase gifts, decorations, and other hand-crafted items from more than a dozen local artisans. Additional activities include an immersive beer sampling path with holiday-themed prizes, photos with Santa Claus, children’s crafts, and more. In the Tasting Loft, jazz ensemble Temple Avenue will entertain visitors from 1 to 4 p.m. 
 
On Sunday, the Snack Bar will serve up a variety of brunch specials from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. while supplies last.
