Double Mountain Releasing Three Fresh Hop Beers

It’s Fresh Hop Season!


It’s that time of year again- fresh hop season, and we couldn’t be more excited to roll out our 2025 fresh hop beer collection! The hop harvest is in full swing, and we’ve got some killer brews ready to go. Killer Red and Killer Green are both on tap at the Taprooms and in 500ml refillable bottles! Fresh Hop Iowa Bar Fight is not far behind, and will be available in a few short weeks! This is year three for Fresh Hop Iowa Bar Fight IPA, a crowd-pleasing collaboration with Solera Brewery that you don’t want to miss.


As always, we’re proud to partner with local hop growers. This year’s hops come from Crosby Hops in the Willamette Valley. We’re all about keeping things fresh, so once those hops are picked, we send out our reefer truck to bring them straight to the brewery, where we start brewing within hours. It’s all about capturing that peak freshness for your pint!


With harvest season in full swing, now’s the perfect time to dive into some of our freshest brews. Whether you’re a hophead or just love trying new flavors, we’ve got something for you. These small-batch beers are limited-time only, so make sure to swing by soon and grab a pint (or a bottle) while they last.

HOOD RIVER BLOCK PARTY RETURNS THIS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6th!

Come Hang with us this Saturday!


If you know anything about Double Mountain, then you know we love to throw a good party! We are delighted to bring back our end of the summer Block Party for its second year running. This party is to thank our community for sticking with us and for showing us support throughout the years. It’s a day full of fun activities for children and your inner child alike to gather and celebrate our community of Hood River.


We’re shutting down 4th Street in front of the Brewery and filling it with music, games, and good times! Tokens for the carnival games and events will be for sale, and proceeds will go directly to benefiting the Hood River Water Polo Team.

Live Music from 12pm till 6pm
Three awesome bands will keep the energy up all day long with performances by West Coast Country Superstars, Matt Coughlin (yes, our very own), and County Line. We are bringing back the flatbed truck stage and the artists will be performing in the street.


Carnival Games from 12pm till 6pm
Your favorite games from last year will be returning, plus some all new games! Try your hand at the Frog Launcher, Ball & Bucket, Knock Down, and a few surprises. Play for small prizes! Games require tokens to play, with proceeds going to the HR Water Polo Team.


Fun for All Ages, children and the young at heart. These events will also require tokens.

Raffle with great prizes!
We will have raffles taking place throughout the day, with the proceeds going to benefit the HR Water Polo Team.


How are we staying cool?
We are putting up lots of shade, and we are happy to announce that this year we will have MORE MISTERS THAN EVER.


Concessions
Pizza by the slice, hot dogs (served by a human dressed like a hot dog), popcorn, cookies, brownies, and canned soda. Plus, beer and cider from our iconic panel van Pool Service to keep things refreshed and groovy looking.


Bring your friends and family and come make a day of it!

Introducing a New Way to Access
all things Double Mountain!


We have a brand new, shiny website that we’ve been working on and it’s finally live! It’s been a labor of love, and we really felt like this would be one of the most important things we could spend time, money, and energy towards this year. This site was designed to serve as a solid resource for all our customers to get easily accessible information on current happenings at Double Mountain. Think of it as a snapshot in time, a reminder that “you are here,” and that the best thing we can do is savor the present.  


With that said, we wanted to take a moment to offer our gratitude to our amazing web designer and project lead; Jaime Singer of Wy’East Creative, located right here in Hood River. Jaime is a longtime friend, employee, and beer drinker of Double Mountain who knows us inside and out. Who better to tackle the challenge of clear, concise communication on all things Double than someone who is not only a talented designer, but also well studied on the subject.  


Jaime has worn a lot of hats here over the years, but this one might just be her best fit yet. She’s taken all the things you love about Double Mountain and built a site that’s as easy to navigate as it is easy on the eyes. Every page feels like Double Mountain… a mix of craft, character, and a little bit of cheekiness… with room for the community to see what’s happening and stay connected. Jaime’s biggest goal for the site was to bring the warmth and good vibes that are felt at Double Mountain, whether you are there for your first time or a seasoned local.

ABOUT DOUBLE MOUNTAIN BREWERY & CIDERY

Double Mountain is a Brewery & Cidery based in Hood River, Oregon that extends a warm welcome to all. Our brewery in Hood River boasts our original taproom where you can experience the heart of our craft. We have two additional taprooms in Portland, located in the Woodstock and Overlook neighborhoods, and a kitchen at the Aladdin Theater, open during showtimes.  We strive to create a living room atmosphere, where we spin vinyl, offer weekly free live music, and host trivia nights.
