Short’s Brewing Announces $21 21-Pack Details – Releasing Today
From Short’s Brewing:
Elk Rapids, Michigan. –Some may think of Soft Parade or Local’s Light when it comes to Short’s Brewing, but for folks who know the brewery, the beer that comes to mind is Huma Lupa Licious.
“I’d been dreaming of Huma since I started homebrewing while at Western Michigan University around 1999—I wasn’t old enough to drink yet so I had to get creative.” Joe Short, founder and owner at Short’s Brewing company stated.
“Huma is named for the hop plant, Humulus Lupulus, and is a big, 7.7% ABV Midwest IPA made using Cascade, and Chinook, Columbus, Centennial, and Palisade hops. Drinking a Huma is like experiencing hop-and-malt-theme-park in your mouth.” Short continued.
“It’s the beer that built Short’s Brewing, it put us on the map in 2004 when we first opened,” Joe Short exclaimed, “It’s my favorite beer of all time, so for our 21st birthday I wanted to go big and do something awesome for the Huma fans out there.”
So the brewery decided to create a limited edition, twenty-one pack of Huma for only $21, that’s a buck a can, and one can for each year the brewery has been open. Keep your eyes peeled—the Huma 21 pack also boasts new artwork that reflects Joe’s experience with the beer and includes a chance to win a trip Up North to stay in the Huma Lodge.
Find $21 Huma 21 pack at Short’s Bellaire and Elk Rapids locations and at participating retailers starting June 20th, while supplies last.

About Short’s Brewing Company
Located in the heart of Northern Michigan, Joe Short opened the Short’s Brewing Pub in 2004 in Bellaire, Michigan. Short quickly made a name for himself by producing fearlessly creative, and wildly experimental brews, drawing folks from far and wide to experience his innovative libations. Driven by demand for their Imperial IPA, Huma Lupa Licious, Short’s Brewing opened a production facility in neighboring Elk Rapids and began bottling products in 2009; a second year-round tap room was added to the location in 2021. Today, Short’s Brewing is Michigan’s largest independent craft brewery and is known for products like Local’s Light American Lager, Huma Lupa Licious, Soft Parade Fruit Ale, and Thirst Mutilator Hop Water. Short’s is known for their commitment to community and supports many local and regional non-profit organizations like Paddle Antrim, Up North Pride, Glacial Hills, and the TART Trails Nakwema Trailways project. The brewery is a proud supporter of Michigan music, and hosts family-friendly, free shows all summer at the Elk Rapids Pull Barn and in their newly-opened Beer Garden across from the Pub in Bellaire.
Short’s Brewing created Starcut Ciders in 2014. A unique, premium cider brand with an intergalactic twist, made using Michigan apples, zero added sugar, and all natural ingredients. Starcut Ciders range from semi-sweet Octorock to bone-dry Pulsar, a cider made with Pinot Noir yeast and less than one gram of sugar.
