Samuel Adams–Thirteenth Hour Stout & Death of Charles Koch Jr.

We brought you the announcement so here’s your first look a the next release from Boston Beer Co / Samuel Adams Brewing Barrel Room Collection…Thirteenth Hour – A Dark Belgian-Style Stout with Notes of Spice, Coffee, Chocolate & Oak.  This 750ml bottle (and keg packaging) will come in at 9% ABV.  Label Text:  “The 13th hour is the witching hour and a time when strange brews can occur.  With 13 ingredients, we combined the roasted chocolate * coffee notes of a stout with the complex spicy character of a Belgian-style ale aged in oak for a dark, robust, & bewitching brew.  One of our brewers’ favorite places to experiment is in the barrel room at our Boston Brewery.  It’s here that each of our Samuel Adams Barrel Room Collection brews was born.”

I’m also sad to report that Charles Koch Jr (father of Jim Koch) passed away on June 13th.
