Budweiser Sponsoring 2014 FIFA World Cup But No Beer Allowed in Brazilian Stadiums

imageThe headline says it all….while Budweiser is the title sponsor of the FIFA 2014 World Cup of Soccer, it is being held in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, a country that bans the sale & consumption of alcohol in almost every stadium playing host to the tournament.  Apparently this is a deal-breaking issue for FIFA, and while promises were made t lift the ban, there is still considerable resistance from  legislators.  More details here.
